Celtic have placed Motherwell goalkeeper Liam Kelly — who started his career at Rangers — on a list of summer transfer targets
Former England No1 Joe Hart will retire from professional football after the Scottish Cup final, while Swiss keeper Benjamin Siegrist is also likely to leave in search of first-team football.
Out of contract this summer, Scotland international Kelly is in the frame to win a place in Steve Clarke’s squad for Euro 2024.
Well known to Celtic and former Scotland goalkeeper coach Stevie Woods, the 28-year-old comes without a fee and would bolster the number of homegrown players available for Europe.
Kelly made his Scotland senior debut in a friendly defeat to France in October. Starting his career with Rangers, he moved on to play for Livingston and QPR.
With interest from down south, a return to English football has not been ruled out if Brendan Rodgers looks elsewhere

To replace Siegrist? Aye.
To replace Hart? I’d rather have Kelly McGlade from Burnistoun.Blochairnbhoy, Ryanm1984 and Officer Doofy like this. -
I could see him ending up back at Rangers as a number 2 with McLaughlin and McCrorie likely to be off or possibly Butland and McCrorie staying.
I have never rated him, although he’s had a couple of good games against us. If Bain got regular game time I think he’d be at a similar level to Kelly. -
Know zero about him. No chance he's a starter.

Starting to get a bit a bit of positivity around the club then bang this * hits you right in the face

I don’t think he’s bad but we obviously need better, second choice he would be grand.

He’s alright but we already have Bain as an SPL level backup

It's bad enough having Bain still hanging about without signing a shittier version of himTommy25 likes this. -

Hopefully it is a case of 2+2=5, nowhere near good enough, not even as 3rd choice. Probably just media chat, we have been linked with all sorts recently

Zaluska, Brown, Bain, Siegrist.. and now Kelly. Just really no point in these signings. Zaluska was the best of the bunch by a distance which says a lot because he wasn’t great.

Nowhere near good enough.
Another keeper that plays for a club that faces a lot of shots. He does make a lot of saves, but he also makes a lot of blunders.
Playing for us the blunders look worse when you don't have many saves to make. You can't cover them up.
