Struggling to see that to be honest.

Henderson to me fits well in that Hibernian side he was loaned out too. Personally, I would cash him in for a few million.

We wouldn't get a few million for him. Maybe a million.

He's bang average at the moment but i see potential and that Zico is clearly at the windup

    He is vastly over rated.

He may well become something but at this point comparing him to a guy we sold to Moscow for 9.5 million quid is, quite literally, laughable.

We are in the business of developing our own youth instead of buying in "gems". How many young players have we brought from Scandinavia, All over Europe and elsewhere, all for them to disappear. Henderson, and others, need to become great players here. There is clearly a decent player in there, and at 20, his better years will come. Has shown when put in the first team that he can hold his own. Will also learn from the experience that Rodgers has brought in, as well as from the manager himself.

I like him, very tidy player. Think it'd be good for him to get another loan spell preferably at another Premiership club.

You're the guy who also said it's easy to tell McCart will go on to be a special player for us, aren't you?

    Carry on

I don't get why some in our support are so quick to write off our young players, he's literally just turned 20 and has already won a League & Cup double in Norway and came on in the Scottish cup with 2 excellent deliveries to turn the game on it's head.

Add-in he has a good goals-to-games for a player so young and being in-and-out of the team and has decent vision eg. Assisting Guidetti v Inter.

I'm not saying he'd be in my first XI at the moment but McGregor is 3 years older and has only just made the breakthrough to become a regular. Give it time yet lads!

Read a Lenny interview last night saying he's not tried to get Henderson back on loan, he doesn't think the player wants another loan and that Hibs won't be able to afford him permanently.

Take from that what you will, and I still wouldn't be surprised to see Henderson at Easter Road come September, but it looks like Rodgers fancies him in the first team squad.

No offence to Lennon or Hibs but if we decide to put him out on loan again I'd rather he went to a higher level than the Scottish Championship. McGregor went down to Notts County (League 1) at Henderson's age and was a revelation.

That's the sort of level Henderson needs each week to continue his progression; not playing against part-time teams more often than not.

Think more of a Championship side in England or a top League in another other country that has decent Football would benefit him greatly.

Definitely, however League 1 would still be a big step up from the Scottish Championship.

Your absolutely right. IF* he does get loaned out again, we should be looking at someone in England's League One. Another spot we clearly have already established a connection with is Rotherham United and Alan Stubbs. He got both Fisher and Allan there and with Hendo being such a massive piece to the Hibs puzzle last year I could see him heading down to the Championship and thriving under Stubbs' again.

Personally I don't think he should be loaned, he should be a bench player for us this year and get a decent amount of playing time. He's shown it in Norway and in the Scottish Championship, as well as his 10 or so appearances with us over the years. I'm not on one end or the other in terms of liking him or hating him him but from what I have seen from him this guy should be a first team player for us this year and beyond. He can take some pressure off Broony and play higher if we need him too. He has the energy and drive to be a solid box-box midfielder but he also has the offensive instincts to make himself dangerous going forward. I'd have him in the team over Armstrong or Johansen any day.

Thought he played well when he came on today, barring the silly foul for the penalty.

Got involved as much as he could and played at a good pace, was a clever ball into Dembele in the build up to the fourth goal as well. I'd like to see him given opportunities from the start.

If i recall correctly at both Liverpool and Swansea, Brendan liked to have a couple of youngsters on the bench, I would reckon that Henderson and McGregor are the two most likley

Think he's a player, but just can't see him nailing down a starting position & he seems the type who wants to play not bench warm like.

I like him but I don't think he's ready yet, he's definitely got potential but I think another year on loan to a higher level than Hibs could help him develop and he could be a player for us next season.

I think we need to buy another creative midfielder anyway so it's less space on the bench.
