Henderson is a future captain. The lad has real quality. I dont know what to make of him playing on the left hand side but i suppose games is games, if it is only temporary.

Lay off young McGregor lads he is not an eye catcher but he has the making of a no fuss CM and he has done well this season. Again should not be played on the right. We should be trying to mould young Mc Gregor into a Ledley type player, he might not make it but that is his role.

I agree on hendo, has it all for me. He's on the left as it's an option available right now that he's done well in and good for his apprentice putting him only slightly out of his norm on the left. He's knocking on the door hard now and will eventually have to be played centrally in some capacity..

Mcgregor is and will.never be anything like a ledley type player..

    Yeah young Henderson is quality.

Regarding young McGregor I am talking about role and not ability. I see a future for him as a not fussy central midfielder. He can work, he can be tidy, he can chip in with the odd goal. I think it is unfair to judge the lad so harshly as we have not seen him play in his natural position.

I was on about the role..

Ledley was absolutely perfect at slotting in and giving us balance, very rarely wasted a pass. Mcgregor I don't think will ever have ledleys discipline in the centre and gives the ball away regularly ..

Well he is a young lad. I do see a future for him as a hard working solid midfielder though, maybe not with us but stranger things have happened. Who honestly thought that Charlie would eventually develop into the player he was? Young McGregor seems like a worker with a good head on his shoulders. My honest opinion is that he will likely forge a good career for himself elsewhere but i havnt given up on him yet.

I think he'll end up doing well in a good championship side breaking.infront of 2 centre mids ..

If we sign Armstrong that's another one infront of him in the pecking order even though I fully believe Liam could very easily reach Armstrong's level with consistent football over the next 4 year.

    Hendo 18, Armstrong 22, GMS 24

Bright future for us! Scottish boys as well, so will probably stay loyal unlike the foreign EPL whores.

I would keep playing this guy,I think he could become a top player for us,I rate Armstrong but would hate for Henderson to move down the pecking order, would their be a place for the 2 of them in the team?if Armstrong signs of course.

Celtic: Liam Henderson welcomes competition from new signings

Liam Henderson has welcomed the extra competition for midfield places at Celtic after the signing of Stuart Armstrong and Gary Mackay-Steven.
The pair's arrival from Dundee United came just as the 18-year-old forced himself back into the first team.
"Stuart plays a similar position to me and I'm looking to learn off him," said Henderson, who started in three away wins during January.
"He's been brilliant playing for Dundee United."
Celtic lead the Scottish Premiership, face United in both the Scottish Cup quarter-finals and the League Cup final, while Inter Milan await in the Europa League's last 32.
"We're in all four competitions, so hopefully that means the squad will get rotated," said Henderson in the hope of adding to his eight appearances this season.

"It's been good. The manager's thrown me in when we've needed to win games and I also managed to score against Hamilton, which gave me a great confidence boost."
Henderson insisted he was unaware of media reports that he would be sent out on loan by manager Ronny Deila before the end of the January transfer window.
"The manager said to me he wants me at the club," the Scotland Under-19 international revealed.
"Obviously we are pushing for all three trophies and we are in the Europa League, so he wants me in and around the squad and that's a great confidence boost for me.
"I did not hear any speculation about me going out on loan.
"I am training every day with the first-team boys and just continuing to learn every day."

He seems happy enough to be on the fringes.

I think he should have went out on loan, because he now has Armstrong ahead of him in the pecking order.

This guy will be just fine.

He has the ability and everything about him that we've seen on and off the pitch suggests he has the attitude, too.

Yeah this sounds like a positive young fella. He's focusing on improving his own performance and that can only be a good thing.

I still think he will be given opportunities to impress. Not as many as he has had before we strengthened but I doubt he will fall out the picture. Would be a terrible waste if he did.

For me Bitton is his direct competition. I dont want to see him on the left wing again. I think he is the brightest thing to come from Lennoxtown in many a moon

Imo he could do well in any of the 5 midfield positions, but I agree mate think he will eventually play Brown/Bitton role.He reminds me of Darren Fletcher when he broke through at ManU.

Repaid back Ronny's faith in him in a massive match, what a ball for Guidetti.

His involvement in the goal was superb but i didnt think he looked that good tonight.. A couple stupid tackles and should have passed guidetti instead of taking that shot.

Aye, as an 18 year old going into a match like that playing a pass like that in the final moments of the match, that's something he can take pride and reflect on.
