can't see him pushing out anyone in midfield. if we sign Wanyama, which looks increasingly possible, it would be virtually impossible for him to get a game in the middle of the park. there's too many people on the wing infront of him. wouldn't care if he went.

A creative spark who can score and set up goals. Good to have in the team.

I'm not saying that he's as good as Messi but he has that similar magic on the ball at times. Also let's not forget Messi's World Cup, he was rubbish, don't think he scored at all, did he and this was with good players around him as well, not as good as Barcelona but still a decent Argentinian side.

Of course not, wise up ffs, but it would certainly be interesting to see how good Messi would be as part of an average side instead of the best club side in the world.

Paddy is capable of singlehandedly winning us games when we're struggling with Inverness or Hamilton, it's the difference between lousy 0:0 draw and three valuable points which could prove to be crucial later in season.

Don't see any point in selling him, we'd get million or two, but lose match-deciding player. And I don't think he's on high wages and unhappy at Celtic.

Stick to him, he's a wizard.

messi has a good world cup ... :97:
it was just unfortunate he didnt score. he did some great runs and had some amazing shots, and keepers were somehow pulling saves from out their * to keep them out. overall i would call that unlucky. from what i remember, messi played in an attacking midfield position. Higuan and Tevez were the main goal threats, probably more so Higuan

Paddy is a valuable squad player. Why we'd sell him, I don't know. His transfer value elsewhere wouldn't be high enough to make it tempting and he's not a heavy load on our wages. He's a magician with the ball and a match winner.

People say, 'well, who would you take out of the midfield? Commons, Forrest?' Personally, I'd stick him in the free role behind Hooper. Either he or Stokes would play that role very well. I don't see why we need another striker/forward with those two available.

Samaras and Murphy aren't really Celtic quality players, either, but until we off-load them, we shouldn't make any additions.

the part in bold, we need another striker because we don't have a target man, and the only player who can lead the line on his own is samaras

Its rumoured its only a loan deal, so if he did go on loan he wouldn't be tearing our defence apart, because were his parent club he cant play against us. Would enjoy him tearing the Rangers defence apart though :50:

I've stated this before, and I'll do so again, we don't need a target man. It's not the style in Europe and our current strikers have shown they can do it in the SPL.
