Lets all laugh at england?

nothing to do with our nationalities. every person has got emotions. some are positive, some are negative. for my case i dont like arrogant people.

im swiss, but i dislike football teams (football teams, not nations) like england, because of their "we are the biggest the best, better than the rest" attitude although they are more or less trophyless. like an arrogant person who aint really better than you, just pretend to be.

 

Everyday on this forum people are saying we are the biggest club in the world, our fans are the best in the world etc etc etc.

 

Celtic are in a league where they have dominated, along with Rangers, thoughout the entire history of Scottish Soccer. I dont think you can draw a similar comparison to Englands one World Cup success.

 

What about the CL? We have won it once but we are aloud to want and expect to do well in that competition.

 

i dont think you will find many who think we will win the cl. even if the majority on this forum would say so (poll etc). theres a difference if ppl on this forum take a * or media/staff/manager claim to be the best.

 

Have not herd the staf and manager of England saying they are the best...

 

I read eriksson said they had the best players therefore they were the favourite number 1.

 

i honestly couldnt hav cared how well or badly england do in the world cup... but when they do well we never hear the end of it, its the commentators that annoy me, anyways id always support any bhoys team so thats y i went for sweden. really it is

I think 99% of Celtic support expect to progress from the group since we are in Pot 2. But if we get a group of death, like discussed in a thread after the CL final. Then will be hoping to progress out of the group.

There is a difference in believing that you can do well and expecting to win it.

I've said i believe england will reach the quaters and depending on the draw could fall there. If so it's not the players or fans i will b laughing at it will b the tears of Ian Wright and Clive Tyldsley. I feel bad for Owen. Out for 5 months i hear. It just has'nt went well for him since he left Liverpool. Think Newcastle are stuffed without him.

 

i want them to lose, but hate is the wrong word to use, i dont like them, ie the commentators and a small percentage f the players, but thats football lol

 

can we get things straight, england dont think they r the best the media do, the players are just rubbish together as a team, brazil, for 50 years have been consistent as the no 1 footballing nation, barring 1 or 2 worldcups. end of story, stop goin on about them, england bashing is a sign of denial in u all, so secrectly u want them to win, its psycological u muppets *

 

I really don't mind the players and to my surprise(cos i though it would b a poor mans Punke'd) really enjoyed Rio Ferdinand's world cup wind ups. Although his catch phrase "you've been mircked" was awful. Poor Beckham is really paranoid about the press ducking down in that car.

 

Hahahaha To tell the truth the commentators is what really put me against England there so bais.

 

I don't think biased covers the commentators. Delusional does. At least MON and Wee GS are there for some laughs and Gareth Southgate is actually quite decent on the mic.

 

do ya see the point i made then conor, no one hates the english really, its just cos one or two of them get a little excited in commentary then scots must hate the english, its insane lol

 

The best one is in todays papers down here it said Michael Owen is going back to Germany to Pick up his World Cup winners medal .....Has he suddenly changed his passport to a brazilian .....The closest hes gonna get to a brazilian is if his girlfriend shaves her ..............LOL
