i dont think you can seriously blame the failings of the whole season on kris commons just because he bottled it at ibrox.

    The season's over? Really?

I think you're the one that's negligent. Negligent of the facts. There are still 3 games to go and we CAN still win the league.

This is all balls. When we lost against Inverness we were the second best team on the park, same with hearts, same with motherwell and same with rangers in the league cup final. If Lenny had of started Murphy and Samaras up front, loovens at CB etc and we lost, im sure everyone would have said "aw well at least Lenny took the pitch into consideration when picking the team". You choose the best team available, the reason a large squad is a big help is that if injury occurs its not a catastrophe.

I rangers win the league, they were the better team over 38 games. If we win, then we are.

if lenny chose sammy to take the penalty ahead of commons it just underlines my main point that lenny is guilty of gross negligence

Pen takers are based on who starts the game ie Sammy started Commons was on the bench so then it's up to the manager to either change it or keep as it is based on the fact Sammy scored last time i would say Lennon was happy with him taking it.

have to agree mate, the fact is this team is now in a far better place than it was last year and i think we need a couple of players added and get rid of the deadwood as there is a few players who just wont be in the first team

Talk about knee * reaction. Win or lose the title this season, Lenny has done an amazing job this year, can't quite believe some people are calling for his head.

by that logic we wouldnt have changed our tactics or team selection against the huns.
but we did change tactics. we dealt with the huns comfortably in the league because we changed our formation and style of play to combat our opponents strengths and play on their weaknesses.

    it's called tactics.

if only lenny had used tactics against so called lesser opponents and we would be champions by now. it's gross negligence imo.

I think the penalty takers are in this order:

    1. Stokes
    2. Hooper
    3. Samaras
    4. Commons

For many teams in the event that the primary penalty taker is the one who is fouled in the penalty incident, they go to the second penalty taker, which would be Hooper, however Hooper had already been subbed therefore going to Samaras. You cant argue with that, he scored the last penalty against the huns at Ibrox, it always takes balls to step up and take such an important kick and it was a fantastic save.

Besides, it is idiotic to think that the league was decided on one penalty kick.

it was an off night for the whole team.it can happen sometimes.it was a hard match way up north agaist some hardy highlanders-the kind of match where you might expect to drop points.if we lose the league blame all the home draws we've had.lennys done a great job for a rookie,as well as could be expected

too many people dismissed the ict game as won it has never been an easy place for the team to get points, too often this season when teams have ran at the defence panic seemed to set in and mistakes made cost points. the point was not to lose the team went to ibrox set up not to lose and the penalty miss is now really costly wether it will cost us the league only time will tell but i find it hard to see rangers dropping points and us not dropping points.

The SPL is a two horse race with only two teams going for the title. Rangers are a much better side than the likes of inverness. We changed our tactics for rangers because we have to be more defensive against them, whereas playing the smaller teams we CAN play our attacking football because we are good enough to. 9 times out of 10 we win these games however there are times when the team simply doesnt play well enough. This season has been a huge success, even if we lose the league and its because of Neil Lennon.

I have a certain amount of sympathy with the OP Radup and Michael Grant's opinion in the Herald.

Lennon appears to be bullet proof to many of the posters on this board, which is a mystery to me considering we have won sweet * all yet under him, and have had our arses felt by Ross County. Utrecht, Braga, ICT, Hamilton and Motherwell and lost the League Cup Final to Rangers. Lennon has committed the cardinal error in football by not learning from his mistakes, and that can't be just put down to him being a rookie manager, because he learnt his stripes under Gordon Strachan, one of our most successful managers in recent times.Lennon was not my choice for manager from the outset, and if we lose this league to Rangers from a position of strength,, and then lose the Scottish Cup to Motherwell, I will not be a very happy bunny, as I suspect others will be on this forum.Lennon should not be given any more latitude than Mowbray was in similar circumstances.
