Lennon's media comments

You mean like how everyone in England loves Ferguson? Or how everyone who supports us likes Ferguson? What you've said isn't true and in the end it comes down to the fact that football fans are supremely fickle. We have fans who love Lennon regardless of what he says or does because of his background and the huns hate him for the exact same reason. Jim Jefferies calls it as he sees it as well. How many of our fans like him even slightly? Nah, of course not. He's a "bitter hun *" like anyone who has the audacity to go against Celtic. Peter Houston's a hun as well according to these fuckwits.

What bothers me is the media's influence on such people. Smith gets away scot-free with things that Lennon would never get away with, whilst Lennon merely suggests that he hopes Rangers' opponents give them a game and pages are devoted to how Celtic believe everyone is against them. I am completely aware we have some deranged fans who think this is the case, but that's not the case with all of us and it's damaging that the media has the power to associate the club with the loony element of fans, especially when they have distanced Rangers from their scum element.

 

I've not had a single problem with anything Lennon has said in the press. A couple of times I've thought he could have reigned in his more aggressive side whilst on the touchline but that's just who he is and there are hundreds of other managers similar to him. Only in this country would you get the reaction that Lennon gets. I'm also fed up of the 'Lennon doesn't help himself' bullshit that people come out with.

I've came to realise that certain people will hate him regardless of what he does, I've had to debate with them and I've yet to hear any of them give a justified reason as to why they think Lennon is a thug/ned etc.

He's wrong again and should just get on with management instead of consistently being provocative and antagonising.

I know his intention is to invoke a reaction from these teams but his insinuations are disrespectful and easily discredited.

Such comments only serve to inflame and in fact will see Hearts be all the more determined to beat us.

If we can destroy most teams each week and cope easily with Rangers and then lose 3-2 to ICT, is that any different to other teams unexpected performances? Of course not.

I also follow Arsenal as a second team and we lost the league this year because we were not good enough and Man Utd were. No conspiracies, no injustices we just lost to a team who scraped more points than Arsenal.

Neil has my applause for the squad he has assembled and until that slip up we probably would be on the verge. Continue the good work with the squad and style of play and it WILL bring success, just try and do it with dignity and respect Neil...

 

And what about our performance against ICT, is that any different?

For me he is just trying to draw attention away from the fact him and the players blew the title they are the ones to blame we had it in our own hands and * it well done .

I know we blew it, the title was in our own hands. however it doesn't change the fact that we are playing in an unfair and hostile environment, or have you already forgotten the ref/SFA scandal earlier this season?

 

Hard as it is to admit ,the huns are more clinical than we are ,look at recent results they have went on a brilliant run winning games with ease,we had the chnace to close it out and we blew it sometimes you just need to hold your hands up and say the best team won i,ve no complaints hard as it is to take they deserve it they won more games than we did
