I didn't listen to it but apparently it was Lenny's agent and QC talking on Radio Scotland that brought up his details , also mentioning the 6 month rolling deal..

A videocelts link with quotes from the interview link

Something else a bit disturbing that is mentioned on that link is quotes attributed to richard gough along the lines of insinuating that neil lennon deserved being kicked in the head by shearer because everyone knows shearer is a nice guy and wouldn't do it unless deserved...

If those quotes were definately said by him then gough should be a marked man , looking over his shoulder for the forseeable.

I voted NO, Because Although Neil has done an excellent job this season, buying some potentially legendary celtic players, we have won nothing yet. Yes we are playing much better football than Mowbray and to an extent WGS, yet this will mean nothing if we finish the season empty handed.
I grew up watching and loving the brand of football played by tommy Burns team, but that only yielded one trophy.
Neil, has seen that the club, has had to pay out millions of pounds in severance pay to the failure of the Mowbray experiment, which at the time was a massive mistake.
He is a celtic fan, ex player and holds the club in his heart. He wants whats best for the club, and that will be a rolling one year contract, which I fully expect the club to offer him in the summer after hopefully a successful first campaign and a domestic treble.

Deserves another year imo. Managers of Celtic are judged on Eurpean success as well as the domestic stuff. If we win nothing this season, I'd still give Lennon another chance however.

As far as I am concerned, Lenny epitomises every quality a Celtic manager should possess, the guy lives and breathes Celtic Football Club. Look at the vile crap this guy and his family have had to put up with throughout the years, pure sectarian bile. Now Lenny can't be short of a bob or two, so he aint just here for the money, he could walk away a very rich man at any moment of time, but instead he wants to manage the Club he loves. Apart from today's shamefull performance by most of the players, we have all been greatly impressed with the type of football he has us playing, so please guys, dont despair we will be back, sooner, rather than later, and we will be victorious UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF NEIL LENNON.

Hi ive been an avid reader of TalkCeltic for months and not joined up till last month & finally tonight thought id come on & have my say,,well where do i start ...the main thing thats bugging me at the moment is this thing surrounding Lennon as if hes untouchable cos hes "a Celtic man" well im sorry that doesnt cut it for me i want someone who knows there tactics,,who knows a player, who motivates there team,& it would be nice but not essential that he is a Celtic man.

Yet it seems that if you disagree with Lennons tactics etc you are nowadays shot down as not being a true Celtic fan ,,well im sorry but i was a Celtic fan a * of a long time before Lennon played for us & ill be a Celtic fan till the day i die,,but as far as im concerned the jury is still out on Neil,,yes we have went on a great run of results this year,,yes we have bought great players,,but do you think Neil spotted them all,,id say John Park had a lot to do with that. and as for that cup final today,,anyone could see hooper wasnt fit or sharp enough yet he keeps our top scorer on the bench even when we go a goal behind in extra time,,he seemed incapable of changing our tactics today & that has set massive alarm bells ringing for me.

And lastly if many modern Celtic fans had there way then Jock Stein wouldnt have got a chance as he wasnt from a traditional Celtic background,,there seems to be a myth surrounding Neil as hes from Ireland,,well i have lived here for over 5 years & believe me for every Celtic fan theres another 2 wannabe Brits sneering at us while wearing there Man Utd/Liverpool/Chelsea top ....anyway i know im rambling on a bit but i hope i get my main point across,,

    - if we cant beat the worst r*ngers team in living memory in a cup final then we have serious problems & i dont care who the manager is but the buck stops at him..tal

Sorry if offended but this reeks of hun. I think your in the minority of "fans" that can hear those alarm bells or maybe yous are standing close to the rangers board room. John park may have signed them but lenny puts them in the team, his tactics have been spot on this season the rest is the rest is down to the players beleiving wat they read on the papers. No one cares were lennys from, we care were he is now and what he is ie the celtic manager. Dnt get the bit about irish people not supporting us, but any way, We are celtic fc we come from scotland, our majority of fans are scottish, if irish people support us good on ehm. To basically suggest tht the fans will only back a celtic manager if he is irish catholic is bs, your proboably gonnae pull the strachan card, but there were reasons he wasnt fully backed 1 his tactics towards the end and the dull play 2 his alround attitude was bad to say the least. If you wish to critisize the manager fine on you go, but atleast expect to be took to task.:celt_2:
