Do you know that we are on the same points now as Mogga this time last year? 36 points. The year before on Boxing Day we had 50 points in WGS's last season. Its just been a slow decline since then.

True. A lot of the fans wanted rid of WGS though.

He is a brilliant attacker but I have seen enough defensive/positional issues to be a little worried. Need to see more though.

ach well see. A lot of people say he was too easily gone past last night. He and Hooper are the good ones. Its all the rest of the signings I am worried about.

only in an alternative universe unfortunately.

Also, I think the Mogga comparison is valid because the number of games was similar too around Xmas.

Get rid of him, before its too late.He has no idea how to change things with no tactics at all.Its our only chance. The board should be doing all to get experienced manager to gain some respect back to this club.

The only reason - one and only reason - that NL is not getting a roasting on this Forum is because of his status as a Footballer at this Club. By this time last year TM was being hung, drawn and quartered by MANY. Not so NL. The main bone of contention is the CB position and today I read that NL talked about perhaps 2 new faces for that area. By my reckoning we have at least 7 players for the 2 positions - some out on loan - and still we 'need' more. The Rookie brought in Maj and was raving about him. He was raving about Rogne and Misun ...... So who is next?
So to those who are fans of The Rookie I say this - and yes maybe one day he will be a Great Manager but not today.Whenever you look at a good/great Team, the Manager always builds from the back. The main reason the Gers have done well for the past 3 years is because they have been solid at the back. If you go back to The Lisbon Lions, Caesar was not that quick but those around him were fast and they played as a back 4 unit. If one full back went forward then the other full back stayed so the back line became a unit of 3.
Someone said in this Forum that our CB's are not quick enough for the high
line we take on the field. If so then why does The Rookie not look at the
strengths of the CB's and ensure that the 2 full backs and 1 holding midfield
player, play accordingly. Assuming that players do not have their brains
removed when they pull on a shirt, we must assume that they are intelligent
and if so it follows that they are following Team orders. If that is correct then
we come right back to the man at the top, who seems incapable of building a
Solid and Attractive Team with all he has at his disposal.
However what no one seems to have asked is 'How do The Board feel about our position?' 'What are The Board's objectives for this Season?' it may be that The Board are looking at this Season as one of transition - sorting out the wheat from the chaff - and are prepared for The Rookie to learn from his mistakes as they see him as one for the future....in the same way as you would do if you had a young and inexperienced player who had potential.
So maybe we will have more dropped points at home. Maybe we will finish 3rd or 4th and still have NL in charge because maybe The Board believe that just as Fergie overcame a poor start at Man Utd, The Rookie can do at Celtic.

It's time for a reallity check.

Does anyone know who the chief scout is at parkhead or is it just the case Lawwell brings out his big giant map and looks at country`s with big populations and decide great marketing idea lets buy a player and open a shop and sell zillions of jersey`s.

The signings have largely been pish - we wont win the league with this shower !!

aye but like you said 2 weeks ago, we should stick by him and support our manager,

at least til the end of the season... if we win at ibrox, all this pessimism will change to optimism, especially you, seen as you change yer mind after every result

Bit of a random point...makes no sense. Loads of managers on long contracts sing players, but are then booted out early, e.g. Benitez and big Phill at chelski.

Anyway, theres no way Lennon should have been appointed in the first place, Celtic is not the club for a manger to gain experience.
