Posted earlier about my opinions of it but here's my prediction for what will actually happen:

Going to sound confusing but I reckon they'll (if the papers are to be believed) impose a 17 game ban which could be reduced to a 6-10 game* ban starting next season if his behaviour improves between now and the end of the season. If he breaks any rules by giving criticism to referees during interviews or by going pitchside from now or during his ban the full 17 game ban will be immediately imposed plus a further ban for whatever he does.

*10 games because it's a nice even number and less than 17 but a hefty punishment nonetheless; 6 is the lowest I can see him getting even if one or two of the misconduct charges is thrown out.

4 counts of misconduct is one * of a lot of charges, the SFA, putting what he did aside and our opinions of it etc. would probably give at least 2 to 5 games each for each charge which last season I think was an 8 game ban for 2 counts of misconduct due to the fact he did it more than once.

However I don't think the SFA will try and interfere with the lifting of the cup as I don't think it'll have any influence, and IMO if Lennon was banned from being pitchside on its presentation he'd just disobey it and go on anyway (quite right).

My big worry is that they are going to slap Neil Lennon with a ban before the Hearts game on May 13th. If they do that they'll probably try and say that it means Neil Lennon can take no part in the trophy presentation either.

I'll be beyond raging if they try that. I am so much looking forward to seeing Neily hold that trophy aloft.

If they try this Celtic should inform them that it's our stadium and we can do as we * well please, and if they have a problem with that they can get to *.

    * why don't they just go out for him and shaft him harder and ban him for the entire season this is an utter joke.

why don't Celtic try and put a legal case together against the SFA since from this season and last season there so many easily comparable situations happened were Lenny has got hammered yet other managers get off scot free

If they do try that we should tell them to get stuffed. They can't exactly take it off us can they? :icon_mrgreen:

if they do try that we should invade the pitch and take over the main stand and crowed surf him down onto the pitch in that case he has no control over what happens and can't be blamed sure the club would be fined but so what

Quite simply if the SFA tried to do that, the players should just simply refuse to accept the trophy until Neil Lennon is allowed on the park. I mean how embarrassing would that look for Scottish football, a title winning manager prevented from lifting the trophy he's spent all season trying to win?

Has Matt McGlone not said that Celtic`s legal team has evidence that will put the SFA`s gas at a peep ? - No doubt the SFA will be busy with Steven Pressley, Butcher, and Craig Brown first before they hear Lennon ???.

He has, but I'm taking it with a pinch of salt for now. There was a serious rumour about some "dossier" which in the end went unreleased a few of years ago, possibly in the Mowbray season.

    My guess is that
    (a) They sat on it, added to it, and waited to present/release it at a later date because Mowbray's team were inept and any "dossier" presented would therefore have less of an impact (since any SFA/refereeing/SPL bias/whatever evidence it is, should it actually exist, could be dismissed very easily on the basis of poor management);

    or

    (b) It doesn't exist.

I'm inclined to go with (b) but I'm sure the various Rangers and SFA investigations will shed some light on anything if there is any truth in talk of bias.

The straight answer is no, as it was never actually released. The upshot of it though is that it would have supposedly proven corruption existed within the SFA as regards refereeing. Information regarding the long-term modification and fabrication of match reports by order of the head of refereeing at the time - Hugh Dallas - was meant to have been in it, which is a pointer towards bias and possible attempted match fixing by referees. Come to think of it the talk emerged around Dougiegate so Lennon was in charge, not Mowbray. Dallas was sacked soon afterwards over the whole pope email thing.

It was supposedly handed to John Reid at some point by a sacked employee of the SFA but I've no idea when it's supposed to have been given to him.

I'm skeptical for a number of reasons, not least of which is that nothing came of it, and that the name at the centre of it is Hugh Dallas - not exactly a favourite with the Celtic fans. But he was sacked for what most employers would consider a minor offence in terms of his job description - at the end of the day all he did was send an offensive email...big woop, but that's the point - he was easily shown the door which could've been a weight off the SFA's shoulders. It made his position difficult to justify given the obvious backlash that would come from keeping him on from Celtic supporters, but nonetheless it was probably a harsh sacking when you really consider all he did was send an offensive email.
