I'm pretty sure he wasn't cleared of it, but they decided that it wasn't a major offence so his 45 minute touchline ban was enough. I'd still like to see something done considering it seems Murray's report was fabricated then.

    I'm not picky.
    Exactly that's what I'm wondering.

He was let off for that incident and the ref had it in his report that Lennon never swore at all, so he basically got sent to the stands for approaching the ref and talking to him in a calm manner.

Hopefully the club will follow up on this because it reeks.

He was not cleared of the charge at Ibrox, the SFA deemed his "half match ban" that day to be sufficient. As they have no proof, they've tried to cover it up.

He wasn't cleared of that charge. They found him guilty but decided that missing the second half of the match at Ibrox was enough of a punishment for what happened. Basically, they covered their own arses.

Aye just read it again through now. First time I skimmed over it :52:

Saw that he was charged with that but with no further punishment.

Surely not. They said earlier that the train of though is that he was banned for the Collum comments only so they could make his next visit (for the diets game) a greater punishment as it would be a repeat (second) offence.

If you read the last paragraph in this article, you'll notice that today Lennon was given a 'half match ban' for an offence which carries a minimum 2 game ban. Why have the SFA backed down like this? Because they are covering up the lies. The next hearing should be very interesting.

What's the point in even debating it - even with evidence in front of you, you still desperately try to believe anything but what is clear corruption. Why? I mean, it's utterly pathetic to actually be trying to justify or give alternative reasons for this. It's pure cheating and corruption.

The SFA and the Club have issued these statements following today's Judicial Panel Tribual at Hampden:

Disciplinary Rule(s) allegedly breached: Rule 68
Outcome: The tribunal applied a two-match suspension, imposed with immediate effect.

Rule 68: Making comments in an interview which criticise the performance of a match official in such a way as to indicate bias or incompetence.

    Name: Neil Lennon, Celtic FC
Match: Rangers v Celtic (Scottish Premier League) - 25th March 2012
Disciplinary Rule(s) allegedly breached: Rule 203
Outcome: The Tribunal imposed no further sanction on the basis that the half-game served outwith the technical area was sufficient.

Rule 203: No member of Team Staff shall commit Misconduct at a match, including but not limited to committing acts of the kind described in the Schedule of Offences in Annex C *

    * Misconduct at a match by dissent, the adoption of aggressive behaviour towards a match official and the repeated use of offensive, abusing and insulting language

Don't really think my own opinion on the matter ever came into the argument there, but if you wish to make it up for me then go ahead. I was calling you out on inventing fantasy scenarios of even fellow Celtic fans being against you and you've gone and proved my point.

Conquer gave the worst offside decision I've ever seen when Ledley "scored" at St Johnstone last year in the cup. Think he called the ridiculous one against Sammy in the 2-2 at Ibrox and also had a complete shocker at Hamilton last season. Worry every time I hear his name mentioned at a Celtic match

So Lenny got a half a match ban for an offence that should be a minimum of 2 games....

So he shouldnt have been banned at all and the SFA are looking out for there own by saying the half game ban was justified. Dont think the club should have accepted this but I suppose they may as well just move on like good little timmys :54:
