but they dont. thats a fact! if lennon doesnt win the league this year then he wont be in a job next year. thats nothing to do with me or anyone else thats just what will happen.

 

I think manager would get longer to gel and build a team if the FANS didnt boo and call for everyones head when things were not going to plan.
I dont think anyone is blame free within celtic.

 

It makes me remember now Chairman Reid's comments to Lenny after he was appointed in the job " It's all downhill from here on "

 

everybody to the manager to the parkhead fox know where the the weak postions in the side are and we all know the cente back and left back areas where we should strenthen first so can blame lennon on that and we have more midfielders for two sides if mcgeady goes the money should be used to get those postions filled and lay off neil lennon till a few months till we see how things go ,and still waiting mr lawell for this ITS WORTH WAITING FOR .

 

Bit premature

 

I think on the whole it was far to early for the team in terms of fitness and match fitness. Add to that 7 new signings and a gruelling travel schedule in America and you have what you got the other night, a shambles. I do think however that the people in charge need to take a reality check as well if they expect us to downsize our expectations with regards to transfers, (we dont have the money anymore bullshit from Lawell that results in Charlie Mulgrew, * off!) then we need to prepare with no distractions and put all our efforts into the qualifications process. Not parading aroud the world as if we are Man Utd, we do not have the same calibre of players and therefore must start taking this super serious.

We also need to get serious about the calibre of the players we are signing, Championship players are just that, and if we continue in this vain then thats the level we will be at, is this good enough? We have needed a CB that can * head the ball for 4 seasons and we have still not signed one and I am not talking about an unproven gem for the future with potential nonsense! I am talking about a proper * player that we desperately need. In fact if we cannot afford 11 top players then we still need to endevour to buy as many top quality players as can be afforded.

The alternative is why am I bothering to pay top dollar to watch *!! I am no mug and dont mistake me for one anymore Mr Lawell et al.

 

If you a bother to read the thread, no one is asking for NL to be sacked all we are asking for is for errors to be sorted out, which again[ sick of saying this] is to address this as it's been going on for 4 fxxxxxx years now and nothing is getting done, it is not his first game in Fxxxxxx charge, not asking to play like Brazil or anything just to pass a Fxxxxxx ball to someone wearing the Fxxxxxx HOOPS

 

to be fair, signing players is all about money these days with transfer fees soaring in recent years and players demanding thousands a week. when your in the spl, you will never be able to buy top players. your best hope is to scour the lower leagues of major footballing nations looking for a future gem. i hate it as much as you do but thats the situation we are in atm.

i agree what cb has said the club has been downsized over the last 5 years and when you think we were signing premier league players 8 or 9 years ago and now signing championship players thats why we are struggling in europe and we are still paying top dollar for a season ticket . the board need to just need to push the boat out just a bit more and would rather sign quality than quantity .

I really dont know whether to laugh at this or get angry , one game , one * game and the knives are out . absolutely pathetic , give the man a chance , , we are building , we will get better under Lennon , give the man a chance for gods sake

 

Lennon was always going to get the job for two reasons. Reason one being the majority of the fans wanted him to get it, and reason two being, he was the cheapest option and if it all goes t!ts up the board can turn round and say they gave the job to the man the fans wanted so it's not our fault.

It's way too early to say that Lennon is out of his depth after the first competitive game of the campaign. We have a team that does not know each other, however that would have been the case no matter who got the job as major surgery was needed.

Lennon deserves our backing, he has been a magnificent servant of the club and he bleeds green and white the same as us. If he does ultimately fail then it won't have been for the lack of trying and I am 100% behind him!

The Celtic job and the SPL doesn't have the pull it used to.

We couldn't even attract a Celtic minded Burnley manager to the job!

I really wonder what the posts will be like at the end of the season when we are celebrating the SPL title. I'm thinking that a lot of you will quietly forget some of the crap that is being spouted on here. Have faith, we will win the league.
