Tbf he’s more a Calmac than Broony. But yes definitely is a long term option for building around, watch him for Motherwell he’s 17 and he’s the one turning to the experienced pros around him demanding they do more, telling them where to go, and being vocal, organising and happy to give a rocket.

Love that off youngsters, can remember when I feel properly in love with KT was 2 games in for his Celtic career or so, Broony misplaced a pass to him and he turned round and gave him it stinking.

Nobody done that to Broony by that stage of his Celtic career. Broony was clearly delighted with that as well.

    Miller has that sorta attitude

The problem is though mate, I fully back my opinion you quoted but it depends on us being quick, decisive, paying a fee without arguing if we think its slightly overinflated (if we think it’s £500k too much, just pay it man).

Depending on us doing that stuff is more hopeful than expected

I'm so perplexed as the days go by how we haven't out an offer on the table.

It's clear as * day that he is going to be an unreal talent in the not too distant future.

We wait for the window, we'll miss out. 100%

We need to be picking these players up ahead of gems and projects from abroad. Miller has what it takes to play domestically and that is the starting point for any player we bring in. If they can't perform against Killie or St Mitten then they are no use. Bernabei for example. There are numerous others. Miller, alongside better players, better coaching and higher expectations has all the attributes to be a top player.

I'd put money on Rodgers having already put the feelers out as to whether he'd be open to a move here. It's not something that would be being reported on at this stage of the season so the assumption that we've not 'put an offer on the table' is a bit premature imo.

There's no way Rodgers isn't keen on bringing him here, so if it doesn't transpire it wouldn't be through lack of effort on our part.

Rodgers apparently spoke to him after the match saying well done on his performance. He's spoke before about the importance of having a Scottish core in the squad, hopefully pushes for us to sign Miller in the Summer.

All signs point towards it happening mate, it would make so much sense in a lot of ways. Fingers crossed.

Doesn't play like a 17 year old. Looked good in clips again today

Thought he played well today. Missed a few chances which he’ll be raging at. They were only half chances but he should’ve done better. Acquitted himself very well in a tough game though. Really want us to sign him. He’s a battler.

Turnbull set the benchmark at £4m. I think this guy will cost about £6m. I reckon it would be one we look back at and say “worth every penny”, similar to when we paid £4.5m for Brown.

See that mate, it’s one of the exciting things about him, he is a guy that does the fancy things that’ll be on highlights and replayed, flashy.

But the most impressive thing is the rest of his game, that you don’t see when you watch highlights. Like, see Billy Gilmour against England in the Euros? Was probably MotM, watch they highlights, he’s not in them.

Same with guys like Lambert and Lenny back in the day. He’s excellent at controlling, closing the gaps, off the ball but he also has the flair and audacity in him.

He’s the biggest prospect I’ve seen for a long time in Scotland, and he’s 17 man. Maybe last one I was that excited with was Broony (and Kevin Thomson if I’m being honest with myself:56:) but he was 5 years older when he came here, at 17 what he’s doing is mad.

James McCarthy I just remembered, probably since him, and same sorta age doing it. And we should have signed a 17 year old McCarthy. I believe Mowbray chose Ki instead

100%. He’s such a physical guy as well. Doesn’t play like a teenager whatsoever in what you’d expect or excuse at that age. He’s aggressive, strong in the tackle, intelligent. Boy has it all. Would be gutted if we missed out.

    Miller's contract expires in 2025.

He's definitely leaving then this summer.

    I reckon it'll be around Brown's fee plus add-ons.

We'll baulk at that because we'll think we could get him on a pre-contract if we wait 6 months because we're idiots.

Physical side is another example of his football IQ because he isn’t strong, he knows he’s built like a 17 year old playing against proper men. So he doesn’t try to overpower who he’s up agains, he’ll just dip down a bit shoulder leaning on a hip or ribs, not dirty just pushing them away.

Doesn’t require much strength that, but requires thinking about how to turn a weakness to a strength, and how to do it without fouling.

Honestly, I’m desperate for us to get him man.

We’ll probably not be fully that daft and think he’ll be there to get on a bosman, but we will definitely say to Motherwell when we’re putting in bids £2m less than asking price we could get him on a bosman in 6 months.

And then bid the asking price when another club does it and he’s in a boardroom In Birmingham negotiating a contract, worth more than we’d pay him.

    ‘We tried’

We need to move early on it. I don’t believe we will though, but I have a fools hope:56:

Bit of truth in both I think. He’s definitely pretty strong. Certainly not a slight lad

True I probably exaggerated a bit there, but he’s definitely not fully grown into his body yet. Usually see some amount of difference between 20-22, remember Ajer at Killie, then Ajer when he left? He wasn’t a wee weak guy, but when he left he was a physical specimen:56:

Unless you’re a Wayne Rooney, who apparently was the same at 12 as he was late 20’s :56: certainly was a * man at 16. I’ve a mate like that, genetics are weird

This is the type of player we should be bursting a gut to sign ...less projects from abroad.
