Fair enough. Sorry folks I am confusing this with the Loughgall incident and I was competely wrong. Does sound like a real injustice. I generally avoid all this troubles stuff and its years now since I read about it.

 

This is the point completely lost on those who claim that our reputation suffers because of rebel songs being sung.

the IRA songs have * all to do with celtic and it should stop

 

don't post about it then, unless you know what you're talking about.

 

In that case - YNWA, LTPS, This land is your land, the fields etc etc will be getting ditched from the songsheet.........

 

If other teams are finding this offensive or our support purely because of Irish history chanting then they should do some history on why these songs are sung and why our club was made in connection with why we sing them.

I don't see any mention of Celtic in YNWA though nor LTPS or the fields or This land is your land. Going along with your warped logic then they'd disappear from the Celtic songsheet too.

 

I have nothing but total respect for Lenny and admire his determination
and resilience over the past season but I will not give up a tradition that has been running in my family for years and which I am very proud of over knee * reactions.

I am not a bigot, a racist or sectarian and neither are the songs I sing.

These songs are only coming under scrutiny because banning them will be a compromise to the huns and not because of what they are.

This is not down to arrogance, just the love of my culture and tradition.
