Not directed at you, just my initial reaction to a press story aimed at attacking a pretty troubled player. I agree if it's down to laziness then no one else to blame but himself

It's disappointing if he's broken the rules or not kept fit, but it's not unexpected.

Personally I would be okay with him being punished and then, if he sorts it out, brought back into the team. He seems to me to be a unique personality that needs to be managed in a certain way, not just binned when he makes mistakes in what are pretty extreme circumstances.

He has a chance now to sort the problem. He works hard on his issues.

He's a cracking player and a big part of this team's success.

Gutting if he gets punted for this. Him and eddy were creating some partnership. Could see him doing a 30+ season alongside eddy next season but as usual it’s off the field issues that hamper his career. Real shame

I think if we signed him it’d soften the blow! Hahah Bayo will surprise us all and take us to 10 next year

I hope that Eddy stays big time and I think he will. But there is still a degree of uncertainty there and I don’t think it would be wise letting Griff go as we aim for 10 IAR.

In a worst case scenario, say we sell Ajer and Eddy. That would mean we would require a new spine of first team players potentially - GK, CB, ST. Not really what your wanting. Continuity is key for this season in my opinion.

Hopefully the tea cake can get back in good condition so we can maintain this continuity of proven players.

Aye even though I want the Weismann, you're spot on, it's too many key player's..

Really if we're losing a player then it can only really be 1 for big money to be reinvested in a keeper and the player who'd been sold..

We don't need an overhaul but just 2 or 3 first team/squad additions..

Mate I agree but tbh in nearly 2 years he's hardly played but still been paid full salary. His off field issues we have stuck by him yet he according to reports he's came back overweight. If that's the truth, and I hope it's not, enough is enough. He knows this is a massive season yet has maybe let his manager team mates, fans and the club down massively. I really hope this isn't correct, I really do because when he's on it he's as good a penalty box striker as we have had over the years

Griff comes back un fit and imo has opened the door for Klimayla to get a shot at it. He's worked very hard to put on weight and strength by the looks of it so this might be his chance

The thing is as you say he looked good linking with Eddie. But all of us have backed this guy to the hilt, club also, yet he comes back unfit. Now if he's being left behind he must be miles away from where he should be and that's not good enough. We had to trust the players to do the right things in the shutdown but it seems he just not done it.

Well he's not going to France with the 1st team squad so that says it all. We can't keep defending the guy, as much as he's a great player he's missed far too much football for non footballing reasons and now it's not keeping fit when on lock down. Now if he's a stone overweight, that's the rumour, then that is a disgrace for a proffesional in this day and age

The stone overweight stories are pure tabloid conjecture.

If Lennon has put him on a person plan at home then I trust his judgement from here on in, if he decides it's an indiscretion too far then I accept. Likewise if he thinks it's just a blip and he can play his part I'm good with that.

The last 4 months have been mad, unprecedented really. Some people need structure and more hands-on help to be at their best.

I was wrong on his impact from January onwards and Lennon was right, so I'll cede to his judgement on the matter.

Look he's been left behind as he's came back not at the level he was told to be. Imo that's not good enough for a player in these times. He gets all the help from the Fitness coaches, gets everything done for him but has let everyone down. See after the previous 18 months were due to off field issues he hardly played I would have thought he would have shown a bit of, I need to show them, attitude but he hasn't and that's really disappointing and the only person to blame is himself. I love the wee man and his attitude on the pitch but maybe the time has come to actually see if he's worth the hassle

The problem is we don't know the full information on what has happened; Lennon does, so I'll trust him to make the correct decision.

the wee mans a die hard but there comes a point where we dont blindly follow a bhoy for that and realise someone has way too much baggage, we have done all wee can for the bhoy but he obviously has alot of issues that are no where near as big as making it 10. excess baggage sadly. i would happily be proved wroing.
