I agree. I wonder if he regrets it.

I have the feeling towards Hooper as I do Bellamy. Both left too early. They had unfinished business.

I like Leigh, but that list has Ally McCoist above Kenny Dalglish, I'm not sure to much can be read into a list like that TBH.

They shouldn't count since they weren't scored in the Champions League proper.

Still the same thing though, the European Cup teams used to pump wee mobs 10-0 etc

Teams like Hapoel, Malmo, Astana who he has 6 of his goals against are probably better than the teams from Iceland, Lithuania, Malta and Wales etc who used to get battered by cricket scores in the European Cup days of the 50s-90s.

I would love to see that happening. He is still only 25 so his best career years assuming he stays fit should be ahead of him still. If he choses to stay long term he will become one of the great strikers in the clubs history I have no doubt about that at all.

Class prejudice? What do you mean? Most Celtic fans are working class, no?

Absolutely no chance is that a better ball.

To the point I actually think you're at the wind up.

So from not being fit to wear the Celtic jersey, to not being good enough for the first team, to not being good enough to lead the line, to not being good enough to play up top by himself, to not being capable of linking up play, to not being good enough to do it in Europe.....we're now at the stage where Griffiths couldn't cut it in England :smiley-laughing002:

On some level he probably does. He did ok at Norwich but ultimately he moved down the road to try and win a place in the England squad and it hasn't worked out for him. I'm sure he'd rather be at Celtic than be at Sheffield Wednesday. But he had to give it a go and nobody can really blame him for that.

If an EPL side ever should come calling for Leigh Griffiths, Hooper might be a good lesson for him. The grass isn't always greener on the other side. Griffiths is a first team regular here and is very well liked by the fans now. He'd be giving up a lot if he was to leave Celtic.

Before you make a comment like that you should go and check out your friend Fat Sally's record in Champions League and Europa Legaue proper.

Cringeworthy actually. It's almost like some have conditioned themselves not to accept him.

BR is going to take Griff up another level.

Hooper was a good striker for us there is no doubting that and Griff has been a great striker for us too. The thing that sets Griff apart from Hooper is that Griff has turned his whole career around within 18months and is continually improving as a player and a person. So I would rather have Griff in my side any day.
