Maybe it is because he's the only option.

I don't know, he's just too limited for me.

See, you try to actually explain what you mean and then you get * like this.

If you read the post you'd know that's far from what I said.

I'd say the court is still more than out on him in Europe but domestically he has saved this season from being a potential embarrassment as many games I've attended this season have had no redeeming features bar his goals, that's why I prefer to target any negativity towards those far more deserving, particularly the management.

It is. We have no other option to change it when it's needed. Plan A is Griffiths and Plan B is Griffiths. Ronny's inability to be able to change tactically highlights it as well.

See if we had Griffiths scoring 37 goals a season and a Sutton type as a back up, to be abel to change things up, no * would give a * about the things Griff can't do. It's about what he can do.

The biggest one being he takes responsibility on himself and he'll dig out a result when things aren't going his way, like today.

Really, for me, he should be the Plan B as I think we can and must improve in his position for next season.

I tell you whats "limited"......strikers who can't find the net in the hoops and in the last 5 years or so in particular there has been a revolving door of such an animal, the list can go on and on of the * we have had upfront in that period, Griffiths over Scepovic, Miku, Balde etc etc etc every time for me!

Aye definitely, he's obviously a far better option than those you mentioned.

Our record with identifying strikers is woeful.

Good advice for Ronnie there.....find a 50 goal a season striker before July.

I'd love to have been standing next to you at a game when Balde was playing :smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002:

    Who said that?

I'll be more than happy with a 30 goal striker who has more to his game and creates chances and goals for other players. Griffiths is very greedy, rarely does he slip someone through to score or square it for a tap in. Rather he takes wild shots from crazy angles.

Then we'll need to find somebody who can contribute more goals than him then, whether that's doing it for others or by themselves.

Exactly. And I know it's not easy but it can be done.

Keep saying it but it's the best example - Gary Hooper. Yeah he never scored 40 goals in a season, but what he did do was contribute to the team in more ways than just scoring. He made chances for others and wasn't selfish.

And for me, he's on another level than Griffiths.

Yes he has got a very impressive goal return this season...BUT, and I know this might sound silly, he really should have more based on the countless chances he misses. I know he's won us games, like today, and got us out of some holes before

I hope Leigh doesn't do anything stupid like his antics that caused him his fine in September.
If he does it he could miss the Cup final or even a vital match in the split as he would get a 2 match suspension.

He'll get a yellow for his goal. Even a half second ear cup that he stopped near instantly (telling you celtic had been warned not to over celebrate) still got yellowed for it though

Neil McCann talking on SSN earlier about the game he scored 2 for them to win the League he said when he ran over to their fans Hugh Dallas ran over to pull him back and said he didn't want to send him off as he was on a booking :smiley-laughing002:

Bet if it was a Celtic player Dallas would be thinking "run over to them ya * *" to send one of us off

Hun players get away with over celebrating in the past all the time off top of my head I remember Miller and lafferty leaving the field of play to not receive a booking numerous times

The whole booking for celebrating is a load of bollocks and takes the fun out the game! If a players intentionally wasting time ie "doing a Porto" then fair enough but leaving the feild of play or taking your top off give it a rest !
