Agree with this, it's hard to gauge how much Griffiths movement takes out a defenders legs tho. Always seems more space for us in the second half, it's actually visible how much fitter we are than most teams. Long may that continue.

Our players were knackered from Thursday and still looked fitter than the Aberdeen players.

I know, the key will be for us is to keep improving fitness, have a little rest after securing the treble and then be fully flying for the CL qualifiers. :50:

Exactly.. We've a game on Wednesday don't we ? Major reshuffle of the starting 11 needed I think. Brown, Bitton, Johansen and Gary M-S all in need of a rest.

    Stokes will start anyway

He took a knock five minutes before he came off, wasn't moving properly at all, needed to come off.

    You're spot on though.

I personally think Griffiths is a far too limited player to be our first choice striker. In an ideal world Guidetti kicks his * into gear, gets himself fit and signs for Celtic but that is looking unlikely at the moment Id have to admit.

I don't know if we should keep playing Griffiths, give Scepovic a chance or persevere with Guidetti to be honest, but we need better than Griffiths leading the line next season.

Griffiths is quick, quite strong, is a good finisher and has a decent left peg. However, his movement isn't the best, he is a little cumbersome in possession and his passing or ability to see a pass isn't great. He's not a good hold-up striker by any stretch.

I like Griffiths.. I love his energy and enthusiasm and so I want him to stay but I just don't think he is good enough. Like I said, he's too limited technically.

So basically you want to "rest" the heart beat of our team :/ not sure we even have 2 cm's to replace brown and bitton. Mulgrew is still out, and we don't have any other out and out cm's. Armstrong is a cam and I don't think Henderson is ready for that role. Wakaso played cdm for Ghana recently but he hasn't been tried there for us. It is to risky to rest brown bitton and Johansen. We can rest 1 maybe 2 but not all 3

The three of them are *. Couldn't press at all in the first half today. Id start Henderson instead of Bitton, Stokes ahead of GMS and maybe Scep over Johansen? And put on Johansen for Brown at half time.

    Something along those lines.

I can see Griffiths spending the next 4 or 5 years with us, if not longer.

As for the immediate future, a couple of goals tonight my crystal ball reads.

Abysmal game today, his movement/positioning and link up play needs to get much better.

Think he's been very poor of late, yeah he scored a couple a few weeks ago, but think in the last few games he's been awful.

I said it in here before but I always have that feeling at the back of my mind that it is not made to last for him here, as number 1 striker.

The fact we need to look for another striker in the summer once again is depressing.

He's just not very good. Never thought he was a good player.

I like that he's a grafter and that he works is * off, he can be a nuisance but his overall ability is poor. First touch is a tackle more often than not, passing hit and miss, shooting hit and miss.. we need better in the summer
