Scepovic hasn't been given a chance, lets be honest. 15-20minute cameos do nothing for his confidence or as a gauge of his ability and potential. Also a completely different striker to Griffiths. I don't have massive confidence in him coming good but I don't think he is pish.

Griffiths has played in Scotland/British football his whole career and was pretty much guaranteed to hit the ground running. To state that he is the best we can get though is crazy, I don't know how you can honestly come out with that.

Just because most of our recent striker's have failed doesn't mean that will be the result every single time. * logic. Maybe if we actually gave Scepovic a chance he would come good. A fit and firing John Guidetti as well is a better allround striker.

Yeah forget about the "who should start on Thursday" stuff, I'm sure everyone will agree Guidetti is way ahead of Griffiths in terms of ability.

Im partly joking in that post, but when was the last time we had a striker who failed to score for 12 games and had been rather poor and the fans have not been calling for him to be dropped.
Add to that it looks like he does not even want to stay past his loan deal.

But for some reason its guidetti guidetti guidetti its like some fans have a real blind spot when it comes to this guy.

Yeah there is no doubt he is a player but for the last two months that guy has just not been here.

If we are not careful we could spend to much time giving guiddeti games while our 2.5 mill signing gets no where near the team only for JG to * off come summer and leave us with just one game ready striker.(griff)

I normally wouldn't be one for the 'I told you so' bollox but I genuinely can't wait until Guidetti is back in the team and banging them in again.

Some of the comments on him lately are embarrassing, same arseholes who wanted Ronny out about 2 months ago.

I would much prefer to see one of our players starting than giving starts in the big games to loan players who want to keep their options open I don't think there is a great deal of difference between Griffiths and guidetti in terms of ability surely you have to give start to the guy who is committed to be here long term

I still believe he is one of the best we could get in terms of potential and ability on form. His lack of goals recently hasn't discouraged me from thinking that way.

Any other strikers like Bangura who hadn't scored in 10 or so games hadn't shown that they can actually score at all or that they can assist goals or that they can actually contribute to our play. Guidetti has. Like I said in another thread, the way some folk keep banging on you'd think Guidetti had contributed absolutely nothing in this run of games, I don't think that is the case at all. You can see he is trying whenever he plays it's just not falling for him. If you choose to ignore that then that's your prerogative.

Griffiths will go through a period like this as well, eventually. It will be interesting how folk react.

This argument has been going on for weeks now but I'm not really going to change my mind. I don't want to keep on saying the same * either as to why I think Guidetti is better. I know he is in my mind.

If I had the choice out of the two, who was to sign a 4 year deal or extension and be our main striker for that time in all competitions, leading the line in Europe etc it would be Guidetti. Every time. Not Griffiths.

the only thing we want is to beat inter , and myself and a few others have stated that guidetti should start for the footballing reasons previously listed ( better hold up play , more physical presence etc ) . nobody on this thread has said guidetti is amazing or that we think hes an incredible character. that isnt a factor. it is only a factor for you as you clearly dislike the guy . i just want the best team on the park some thursday night.

also , this argument that we shouldnt play him because he is on loan and wont stay past the summer is really null and void. if that is the case shall we just stop getting in loan players. denayer has stated that he is * off back to city as soon as he can and yet nobody is calling him a prima donna and calling for him to be dropped. you lot are taking your personal dislike of guidetti and allowing it to influence your judgement.
