Hard not to agree.. although the players you mentioned with the exception of Calmac deserve everything they got...

Again I'm not defending the state he turned up to pre-season but we are taking Lennons word on his fitness for the remainder. I don't believe a word lennon said last season

Lennon said Klimali wasn't fit at the start of the season when he looked like he'd been working harder than anyone, didn't really believe a word he said after that.

Hopefully joint top scorer of 40 goals each with our new young machine of a striker the rest of Europe try to bid £100m+ after they single handedly win the champions league, super cup, Europe league, World Cup and the darts.

I'm not any of the type of fan you mention. The fact is he's not a sellick man anyway we all know he's a Hibs supporter.

After Edouard he's our next best striker. At times last season we couldn't get a goal and Griffith was on the bench or not in the squad. He said he was fit when questioned about it last season and he's reiterated that again today.

I'm not saying the guys perfect but he doesn't seem like a liar. He's had his personal issues and he didn't do much during the pandemic but he said today he made weight for the pre-season.

Everyone on here contradicts themselves one minute Neil Lennon talks * except when he talks about Griffith. Neil Lennon lost it last season and Griffith was an easy target for him.

We'd be crazy to let Griffith go he's got something to prove we should sign him up and actually give him a chance. He's always delivered when given games.

Hope to * they re-negotiated the 12 mth extension which was originally to flip him up to £20k a week. We're nuts if we're paying more than a third of that

I do think his wage needs to be renegotiated. I think it should be a basic squad player with lots of bonuses based on goal return. If he believes in himself he'll back himself to smash the targets.

We can't be taking a risk of paying him top dollar with no return. A player like Griffiths needs to prove everyone wrong and he needs constant incentives not to rest on his laurels.

I don't mind him being highest paid etc but only if he delivers the goods.

No sign of a DoF, Kennedy and Strachan still hanging around, extensions for Ralston and Griffiths. Starting to see why Howe told the board to * off.
The response to last seasons humiliation has been shameful so far.

Only reason i can see is too keep him away from other Scottish clubs for nothing.

Whether he bangs a few in next season is irrelevant to me, He doesn't deserve the opportunity to do it. Don't see the point in having him in the dressing room, the wee * should be resented in there.

If you suffer from depression and someone at your work is the cause of that you’ll not give a *. If Lennon and himself had issues that we’re causing his mental health to deteriorate then no wonder he needed time off. As a player your not allowed to criticise you just turn up, train, play. No moaning.

We all seen NL with Mikey Johnston “* off” when he couldn’t continue. That was caught on camera, imagine what wasn’t caught on camera. I’m glad Lennon been * off because his temperament and toxicity have completely destroyed our club from inside out. Hope the * never works in football again.

You're failing to mention that it's not just Lennon who has criticised Griffiths' fitness over time, so the evidence is stacked against him there.

Who else has criticised his level of fitness?

I don't remember them saying much about his fitness. He played regularly under Deila and was fit to play with Rodgers but he preferred Dembele and Édouard.

Your also generalising that every player/person is the same. Players should be seen as humans and should be understood every one of them are different. Background and upbringing are just two things that are completely different and curtails how the human psyche pans out. Two people having the same upbringing doesn’t mean they’ll have the same ethics or views, that’s the same for players, some need more needs/time than others. It’s called man management. Lennon did not have man management skills.

Was he not essentially finished under Ronny and had to prove himself and it was travelling down to Sunderland to play a reserve game that got him his second chance

I honestly think the massive clear out we were all hoping for will not materialise. The likes of Kennedy and Strachan junior are still hanging around, Griffiths is being given yet another chance, Ralston has been given another chance, Naylor, Barkas and Ajeti are also still here. I'm afraid it's beginning to look a lot like down sizing and mediocrity for the near future for us.
