    Good memory at least :smiley-laughing002:

Of course hsv are * and * - because they are the city rivals of St Pauli and bring with it what you would expect from a rivalry. The home game against them was a full day of running battles all around St Pauli and wouldn't have changed that for the world!

It's hard to know where to begin with this post. It is that ignorant. The stereotype of all Celtic fans being Catholic is long dead. You only have to read this forum to see that.

What makes ME sick is clowns this associating, even by inference, Catholicism with support for * flags at football matches. To make any sort of connection between the Catholic faith and Naziism is an affront to everything Jesus said in the gospels. Many of Christ's teachings could easily be described as left wing in nature, he was a champion of the poor and most disadvantaged people while frequently speaking out against those who had the most or who were greediest. That's just one example.

Let us not also forget that Christ himself was a Jew. So I doubt he would have had a very high opinion of what the Nazis did or people supporting Naziism or * symbols.

If you want to be a right wing, fascist * then go ahead and be one. Do not however try to claim that you have to be right wing in order to be a good Catholic.

Clubs like Lazio you will see a fair amount of different races in the stands and in Rome you see lots of Arab and Africans with Lazio tops and you see Palestine flags at Lazio games but that does not make them left wing and they are not White supremacists but I would say they are one if not the most anti-semitic club around. But Rome as place I think is welcoming more so than Madrid or a lot other major european cities.

That is why we "love" them so much.Their right wing tradition on the south stand since "SS Siggi" ruled the "Borussenfront" in the 80ties last century,

Sure noone wants to hear it and everyone close his eyes but they are there and not much is done about it.

..and who can read German here an article about Schalker stopping Dortmunder Nazis marching through their city
    http://akduell.de/2015/05/1-mai-blockieren-statt-marschieren/

To be fair they brown scum is not the majority among the 80000 in Signal Iduna Park
but they are there and widely tolerated.

Borussia Dortmund as a club does many things against Nazis and Xenophia just like your club Schalke. Your Nazis are a few not organised in the stands their ones are small groups of organised Nazis.

Whilst not about football, I've seen instances of people trying to infer the catholic faith is a * subject.

I heard that on the Ardoyne road protest of 2010, a few Italians came over and sat down. One lad pointed out they were right wing fascists from Italy and they were escorted off the road by the protesters. The Italians claimed they were there to back up their catholic cousins, but werent happy when they found out that protestants were on the protest too.

They seem to try and identify with Irish Nationalism/Republicanism too, but thats not a subject for this forum.

Irish Nationalism/Republicanism is often confusing for non-Irish I think a lot of that is to do with the miss information pumped out in the past by the likes of the BBC. Also Celtic fans are often misunderstood by other fanbases as you can't really put Celtic fans in box and say Celtic fans are this or that, certainly not anymore. This is why you will get totally different people think Celtic are something we are not.

Also going back back to Irish Nationalism/Republicanism and the confusion people have - In the recent Sons of Anarchy TV show the SONS biker gang deal with the IRA and the IRA don't want to do business with one of the Black gangs as in the show the IRA are fascist right wing. People often think the IRA were some religious group fighting for the church and the Nationalism aspect is about Race when the truth is quite the opposite.

I have had so many conversations with some Polish people that think we are this Catholic club and deeply religious or you get the Croats and Serbs and Italians who seem to think we are right wing or something.

We aren't a sectarian club, but we certainly know what we're doing and who's buttons we're pressing when we champion the IRA :smiley-laughing002:

the truth is there's criminals, racists, pedophiles, rapists and other scum among Celtic, Barcelona, Lazio or St Pauli fans. There's good and bad people everywhere.

    Generalizing is a dangerous habbit.

I'm proud of Celtic's history and roots, but some people just come to Paradise to see football, nothing more, nothing less.

Having said that, it's important to wipe out any racist element in football. Due to football I have made many friends around the world - football connects. Racism and other extreme and radical views just poison the sport I love so dearly.

We sing rebel songs on European nights, so I don't think it's neccessarily a provocation. Definitely more vocal when we're playing the Huns but what do you expect? :smiley-laughing002:
