I think he does..
I know wilson is right footed I know he would not be my first pick for right back. BUT..... Who else is there, maybe Hartly.
In our next game I know McGee will be looking to exploit this position.
Also Aalborg will be there to catch up on us and if they see the frailties in our defence then we could be looking at our first upset at home in the champions league.
I just hope wilson has been doing extra training since the Rangers game.

it would be easy enough to set up the midfield so that hartley can be there to provide cover for wilson as and when required
-
Absolutely. Can't fault his work rate and pass completion. He's just not very exciting, but who is?
-
I wouldnt play him at left back, as i said before the summer, we needed to buy a leftback and we didnt...~
-
Not an LB and playing him out of position showed, i would rather play naylor i know he can be * but he is are only LB at the moment.

Nah would actually rather have Naylor in place of him :50:
-
Naylor seems the only realistic choice, for me anyway.

Naylor is the realistic choice... but tbh i would rather wilson there. He actually looks like he gives his 110% and thats good enough for me

No, its not his fault, but he is * at LB. If anything give him ago at RB.
-
Wilson gives 110%, but as he's * it doesn't matter how hard he tries. Get the blinkers off, just because he's a fan, doesn't make him a good player.
Caddis at RB and Hinkle at LB? worth a try.
Push comes to shove, put Mick at LB with Loovens at CH, this breaks up the dreadful CH partnership (not that they are poor players individually IMO)
worst possible move is to continue with Wilson. -
Wilson is being hung out to dry at left back -
What happens to a fairly inexperienced right footed player at left back is what happened to Wilson against the manky mob. For their 1st goal, Malteaser Head Cousin ran right round Wilson's left side and stuck the ball in the net. A left footed player would have found it much easier to counter that run and get a decent tackle in.
Problem for Wilson is that he's at best only 3rd choice right back at the club so as soon as Naylor is fit or we sign a LB he'll probably be out on his *. -
Wilson's just a very average player to be blunt about it.
We've needed cover at left back for years and WGS has done absolutely nothing about it.
He signs mediocre players everywhere yet leaves left back cover out.
Shambles.
Naylor the only option right now, because WGS didn't bother his * getting someone. -
The last time Wilson was given a run at LB, he was rotten and even his supporters agreed, but reckoned it was because he was out of position, if it didn't work then... -

personally think its a shame when players have to play out of position like this , look at the stick Caldwell took when playing at rb so i suppose its inevitable Wilson's getting the stick now :38: -
I personally play as a right back and I find swapping to left side very difficult and im nothing like the same player.
Personally would play Naylor everytime but we he is injured what do we do, i think maybe O'Dea would be a better solution but he wont attack as much as Strachan likes which is why I feel he plays Wilson. What the * happened to Doumbe?? He looked ok in what bits I saw of him.
Left back should of been an absolute priority even if it was just better cover for Naylor. It has already cost us 3 points to Rangers lets just see what else it costs us. -

Wilson isnt the answer at right back. Think his hopeless OF performance proved that.
He doesnt cover himself in glory at RB either to be honest.
We were all saying on here over the summer that both full back positions were a priority yet nothing was done and look what happened against the huns.
* * help us if Naylor or Wilson get injured, it'll be Caldwell at full back again! -
