    Used to work with a couple of Leeds fans.
    They said that there had a been a petition to get rid of the manager (whichever one was appointed by current owners) and owners of the club.
    They also wanted a new stadium.
    They couldn't get anyone interested even though the owner supposedly wanted to sell.

    They will probably make a comeback at some point could be 20 or 30 years away but as you said they have the fanbase that if they were back in the Premier with a good team could be another Spurs or Everton top 10 club.

    I'm looking at clubs like Everton just now don't have the big investment like City, lose a few good players and fail to replace them and I can see them going down in time.

    I think there's a slight difference nowadays given the volume of wealthy backers and the fact Clubs like Chelsea and now City have vastly grown their fan base based on their success.

    It will more then likely be the entire League structure which suffers should the bubble burst rather than individual Clubs like Leeds.

    Well, it is true that Chelsea and City have grown their fan base, which in the long term ensures them more financial stability than their older, smaller fan base would have given them.
