My problem is that they want >£1.2m for him, which is mental in my opinion. Yeah, he has a better goals to game ratio than Commons, but Commons was £300,000 and Stokes was £800,000! That's 2 good players for this guy combined. As for the Billy McKay talk, Stokes came from Hibs and had the same kind of record as McKay (1 goal: 2 games), and as said before, we'd probably get him for half the money of this guy. And saying Sammy would score 35 league goals a season is crazy, Larsson only managed that once!

Christ, imagine the terror of the staff's faces if those two walked in at the same time.

6 games, 6 goals, 5 assists this season.

Can't argue with that, and as someone mentioned, a hat-trick against Reading.

Stokes is nothing like McKay though. Stokes is a technical, creative, skilled player. McKay is a * technical, numpty, pish player who is decent in the box.

Stokes is a good £2.5million player and Commons when he joined aged 27 was a good £3million player. We got them cheaper than we should have.

Think it would be a good signing but were does he fit in?

I would be thoroughly disappointed if we signed Tomlin. League One in England is his level and he would offer nothing to Celtic except to stunt the development of our young attackers. Commons is twice the player he is despite similar styles but a quarter of the price. Would be a worrying lack of ambition if we sign him with the CL proper about to begin.

took off at half time because he ran out of steam, he looks like he played in my uncles pub team every sunday.

will be without a doubt the fatest player we have ever purchased.

he,s bigger than big bad john but he did look like he could run like * in them videos a was pishing my self, looked as though he had a decent shot on him as well but imo should be bringing in a proven striker and going by his record he,s not what were after

Lennon wants to sign Buttner and possibly play him behind the striker, I cannot see where this guy would fit it all, I think this "bid" may be bullshit

The thing is, if you cover his face up he doesn't even look fat in the slightest, he's just got a bit of a chubby face, the guy's fitter than any of us sitting on here. Still don't agree with paying >£1.2m for him.

Fat Sally is sweating on this signing.....

Lenny sure knows how to wind up his old mate. How much are shares in Greggs ? I was slow off the mark last year and missed out on the ice cream and jelly stock..

Don't think he is good enough to come into the side we need to be looking at players who are gonna be able to get into the first team right away and IMO he is not good enough
