Nah the SPL is better than League 2. My opinion is we have some of the best young managers, bringing players up from the likes of the lower leagues in England, development teams etc.

You're right £2million would go a lot further in another market, but it depends on a lot of random factors. I'm seeing guys valued at £1million in smaller leagues going for £4.5million.

Players from England are going to adjust to Scottish football very quickly. They also tend to have had a good education, playing in a team at a very young age, getting promoted to the championship and playing their for two season.

I just think, last year he was the best player in the team and the team was not very good. This season they have brought in some good players and look to go back up.

Lee obviously wants to go back up a level and for a guy like that, playing in the Champions League would be something he never dreamt would happen.

Looks to me like Ferguson doesn't want to sell, but money talks at the end of the day

 

Yes PartickBhoy it could well be an agent trying to get his player a move. We don't leak these things, but it's almost impossible to keep them quiet.

He's exactly the sort of player Lenny likes though and that's why i actually believe he's someone we're keeping tabs on and that's all it is.

I bet you could make a first XI of ex-SPL players who currently play in the Premiership that would challenge for a European place. There's a * load of them right now and plenty of a good standard.

 

Suggesting in all seriousness that the third tier of English football is better than the first tier of Scottish football has to be a new low in insulting the SPL on here, surely?

 

Even of the top of my head I could name a XI players who would form a decent side - if a bit defensively frail:

Goalkeeper: Boruc/McGreggor
Defence: Whittaker, Hooiveld, Caldwell, Fox
Midfield: McCarthy, Mccarthur, Wanyama, Arteta,
Forward: Hooper/Jelavic/Fletcher

I'm sure there's loads of players I've missed out too.

Used to play for my local teams rivals (diamonds). He's * and he got called a fat * everytime we played them.

I know this player. I've seen him on the Football League show and saw P'boro once on sky last season.

He has ability but he's a bit of a fat *. Like those Sunday League players who are overweight but one of the best players on the pitch.

That probably explains why he used to play non-league. To be fair, in the game I watched he did look alright-ish, but nah, there were a lot better players in the Championship last year, and a fair of them I wouldn't want to sign.

Luckily this is probably bullshit.

 

He also scored 50 goals over two seasons before he signed for us as well so there is a very big difference.

 

Would take him.
