Hope he proves me wrong, but i am not convinced by what i have seen of this guy Naylor! When was the last time a Championship player did well at Celtic? We give them Mulgrew a 20yold up & coming LB + 600k for a 26yold who was kept out of the Wolves team by Mo Camara. For that money surely there are better options. Mulgrew will end up being a star for them knowing our luck, he should have gone to them on loan as part of the deal instead of selling him imo! Again i hope Naylor is a star for us and proves me wrong!

everyone keeps on saying lee naylor was kept out by mo camara look at the facts - it was 5 years ago ffs the guy was a 21 year old kid, he's been a regular ever since, including playing every game the season they were in the premiership. this is yet another example of the scottish press trying to slate us and sasly yet another example of some people being so * stupid they take it as gospel :47:

mulgrew is being booted out because he thinks he's a big time charlie - arrogant wee *. just cause you play ok at dundee united doesn't make you a star. i congratulate wgs on this - these are not the type of players we need at celtic. same reason why that wee * wallace has been told to gtf

Because he's left footed and can run, so he'll be better at left back than Telfer. And it will allow Wilson to play at RB where he belongs.

I say we give him a chance, i mean how many times we signed someone who we thought would be a star and turned out * and how many players have we had concerns about who ended up celtic heroes. I mean i know when we signed Hartson i was worried because i thought we were getting some fat bloke with a dodgy knee, a habit of beating * out of his team mates as well as more clubs that a golfer. but look at how he turned out. he will never get a bad reception at CP.

The vast majority of Celtic fans will ignore the sniping from the laptop loyal and welcome the guy to the club. He'll be desperate to do well after the biggest move of his career, so lets see what he can do before passing judgement.

All the people who are saying 'get him to *, he's pish' will be left looking like daft wee boys who cant think for themselves if we sign him and he turns out a good player for us. Theres nothing wrong with not wanting him here when there are other players we are still targeting, but now that its clear hes the one we'll be signing we have to get behind the boy, because we're Celtic fans and thats what we do.

Get over it and be a true supporter!!! :shamrock:

Wolves fan here. Thought you may like some info:

Lee Naylor is a decent Championship LB, but got found out to a large extent in the Premiership. He isn't a particularly great tackler but always stays with his man and works his socks off marking his player. Most Wolves fans regard him as better going forward than in defence and a few have been suggesting he could have been moved to LW. I am also of this opinion.

He is a real 100%'er though. Always gives his all and will run up and down the line for you all day long. His attacking side is the best aspect of his game. Loves to overlap and run at players, going both inside and outside of players, and is not afraid to shoot when he gets the chance. Always links up well with the LW player as well.

His crossing is a bit inconsistent though. Some games he pings them in the box from all areas, but others he struggles to beat the first man. Same goes for his corners. 90% of the free-kicks he takes go wide or over. He normally gets his usual one goal a season though. Those goals above are about the only decent goals he has ever scored and are very rare.

Lastly his distribution has always been moaned about by Wolves fans. Usually when under pressure he'll hoof it upfield. He tries long balls a lot from his LB position and they don't always work, so be prepared for a few groans as his long passes go astray or to an opponent.

Overall I'd say his work-rate and forward play outweigh the negatives of his game, but if you're looking for a top class LB then you've picked the wrong bloke. Don't get me wrong, I didn't want to see him go, but we can replace him easily enough with Jamie Clapham. Read into that what you will.

Best Wishes for the new season guys.
