Although I personally prefer staying til the end of home games, especially during this amazing season we've experienced, I think the OP is exaggerating.

I definitely think there's less early leavers than in recent seasons. If you looked at the attendance in the stadium yesterday after 75 minutes, it was probably still fuller than almost every home league game under Deila.

I do have mates who turn up about 20 mins late and then leave about 15 mins early, however I'm pretty much of the opinion they have paid for their season tickets so it's up to them.

I have been to a few games this season however where guys have turned up too late to collect their tickets and missed the whole game. Again up to them but if you are paying £25 for the bus and £27 for a ticket you might as well at least try and make the game. :giggle1:

But surely the supporters bus is still there waiting for the fans who have stayed till the very end anyway?

Like most, boggles my mind. Fair enough there are some honest reasons to leave sharp - marie for instance. But there are actual folk who do it every single match regardless. Some have long journeys and want to make sure they beat the traffic, which is almost acceptable if it is going to make you 2 hours late somewhere, but surely after 20 years of doing this these folk will have figured out not to * park in the middle of the busiest parking section. Go park somewhere else and beat that que?

Or the ones that actually (looking at auld alfie) leave 15mins early, to walk back to the pub. Just to get the first pint in before the rush.

Why even bother. But hey, each to their own. Their money on they season book and all.

Would be but I would only do it if we were tanning a team or the game was finished.

I'd leave around 85 mins. I'd never do it in Europe, but if a game against Killie or someone was 3-0 and deid then I don't see a problem personally in getting out a bit earlier.

I turned off my illegal stream off 5 minutes before the final whistle a few times. Was a * stream because of too much traffic.

Ok so since we are talking about it I'm going to share my view on this. I find it absolutely disgusting. I live in Poland and on some stadiums there are special fanatics that guard the exits so that no one can leave early. If u tried to do that without some proof of very important matter you would get your face squashed in possibly...I'm not saying that this solution is correct because it is not but it shows how seriously it is treated here. I remember a 1-6 pumping at home, one of the worst results in recent history of my local club. No one left early. Not a single * person.

I would be at every home game and never ever leave early if I only lived in Scotland. Totally different approach. How can anyone want to skip the moment when players are coming to the stands and the bond is created...so what you would be driving for 2 more hours...I would stay even if I had to drive 10 hours.

If you come to watch Celtic you stay there for a full game. In my eyes, some of our fans from other countries care more than local. Mental.

When some already have a 4 hour drive home and working at 5am leaving 5 minutes early is completely acceptable to save them 2 hours in traffic. I pay my money and if some ultra polish * tried to stop me leaving I'd fight until I was in hospital. * them.

It's not like we play at 23pm on Sunday. And even if we did, I would just drive straight to work. Like I said, totally different approach.

Worse is the * in cars right beside the stadium forcing there way through at a fair bit of speed when the game has finished. You have supporters everywhere and they bomb through tooting horns etc.

Fair enough if you have a genuine reason for leaving early but think of all the great moments you could have missed by leaving 10 mins early for reasons such as traffic. AC Milan and Shakhtar as you mentioned and goals like Tony Watt against Barcelona. Imagine in 10 or 20 years time and hearing people recollect those games and you can stand there and say I was there…… but I didn't stay for the final 10 mins because I didn't want to get stuck in the traffic.

Those are the memories you will keep for the rest of your life. Not oh remember after the Barca game in 2012 the traffic was murder wish we left a bit earlier.

Really the issue is where the stadia in this country are built, I can't think of one where it's easy to get away from, maybe ICT is alright.

Leaving that early in a European game I cannot justify. Whatsoever.

Nobody is disputing that they shouldn't do what they want people just don't get it

We knew a guy who'd come all the way down from Aberdeen and sometimes he wouldn't even leave the pub

    Aye nae bother :32:

You aren't here so don't judge the ones who are and do go. Hear this pish all the time from fans who don't go to games. See if you can't make it or whatever that's fair enough but don't slag off the ones who do go.

Plenty of 'what if' comments but it's all well and good talking from a hypothetical situation.

Why not just park in a more suitable location and walk 10 minutes to the stadium?

Unless you're disabled or have to be somewhere specific one week I don't think there are any excuses.

If you're stupid enough to park in the Forge then you deserve to wait 2 hours to get out, and leaving early for a supporters bus makes no sense as they need to wait for everybody anyway.

Must be * for the players after hammering teams to look around and see loads of green seats.
