i remember being at old trafford when England were playing Greece in the world cup qualifiers. The school took our football team ( manchester based). As we were still primary school they were adamant we leave early for safety.

one time my dad was happy we left a game early as he didnt have to watch the celebrations when beckham scored that free kick!!

Imagine leaving that famous 3-0 win early.

One of our greatest ever comebacks and you missed it.

EDIT: Beat me to it haha.

Almost as bad as that joker with the dreadlocks who gave away the goal at Easter Road

Pretty much agree... Not able to get to games often so can't really 'have a go' as such at ST holders for leaving early but I think especially this year the Bhoys deserve all the applause they can get. Incredible work rate and desire shown from them this season, I would be enjoying every bit of it if I could get up to parkhead more often!

I have left games early before in the past, so I'm not passing judgement, everyone has the right to do as they like but this season is special imo. Hopefully much more to come too :50:

Will be amazing to see how the ones that usually leave early will have made 1,000,000 different plans and organize everything so they can wait the extra 10 mins and see the trophy...

I didn't feel I had to explain, it's cool, just adds another reason why folk leave early, could be folk like myself, folk with kids and of course those wanting an early getaway for a huge number of reasons :50:

    :50:
    Lol...it's cool :50:
Unfortunately for me after not missing a game all season I'll be missing from Trophy day, I could either get the Hearts game or the Cup Final off, no brainer which one I chose.:56:

Personally I do it just to wind up my fellow supporters. Really I'd rather stay right to the end, but the opportunity to annoy people it doesn't affect in the slightest is just too good to miss. :101:

If people have paid their money they are entitled to do what they want (That does not extend to people that talk through movies in the cinema, there should be a special place in * for those *! :67:) if that includes leaving early for whatever reason I'm fine with that.

My old bhoy does it and it * me off.

I'll drive there myself rather than going in his car so I can see the full 90. Regardless of whether it's 1-1 or we're pumping someone 6 nil.

Same here. I still mind as a kid, he made me leave early, European game too, down 1-0. We left. We won 2-1. Someone will know what game it was I just remember a guy going total daft in his car smacking the window celebrating a goal and telling us :56:

True, but the manager and players took the time to go over and applaud the opposite side of the stadium today and it was almost empty. There's a great relationship between the squad and the fans just now, more people should enjoy that in my opinion.

There will always be people with valid reasons to leave early, like disability or a flight/ferry to catch and I completely understand and respect that, but those that leave early simply to make a head start on traffic (I drive/car share to every game, stay til the end and I'm on the motorway moving freely within five minutes of getting back to my car) or to get back to the pub, I'll never understand. As other posters have said, those people must have missed some incredible moments.

98% of the time I am there to after the final whistle.

Left a fair bit early today though as I was totally choking for a pint :) Lovely it was too.

People gettin their knickers in a right twist with folk leaving early when 4-1 up :56:

I sometimes leave 5 mins early if im driving to get ahead of the worst of the traffic.

If we were drawing i would stay to the end, or if its a 'big' game (champs league/sheep/scum etc) il stay till the end regardless of score.

But games like yesterday 4-1 up with 5 mins to go, im not going to miss these 'big moments' at the end.

Doesn't make you an uber fan staying 5 mins longer.
