Apart from the money side of things, from a football point of view they are probably better off in the Europa to be honest, can really test themselves, CL could be devastating in terms of results..

They've done themselves and the league proud no matter what happens in the second leg.

Without a doubt. Well done to Dundalk and good luck to them not just in the second leg but also in the group stages of the Europa League if as if looks like it does they end up playing there.

Never a peno and gave away a goal with the last kick. Night rounded off with Legia at 11/10 printing money..

Cork have bottled it a few times already but, yeah they have a huge opportunity because of the extra games.

I think dundalk will cruise it, however their europa league group looks tough.

Its certainly a busy run in but I'm quite shocked they didn't add further to their squad. A 34 year old Alan Keane out of retirement and Zombe Shiels won't be much additions. Cork putting a run together is the problem going on their recent form.

Ideal group really, no massive names but all should have enough to dispose of them. Macaba a home their best chance at a point

Bohs were awful last night. Last game in Dalyer next Friday against the scum and I wouldn't be surprised if we were embarrassed again.

You know things are bad when Bray are on a better you than you. How long are Bohs gonna be playing out of Tolka until the new stadium is sorted.

It looks like we'll be in Tolka for the next 2 seasons. Have a feeling it's going be grim.

Bohs bring this seasons form into next season then I agree with ya, Tolka is a kip as it is but when the football on show isn't great you could see a few staying at home.

Yeah exactly. There could be quite a big drop off in attendances especially if things aren't going well. Although Tolka isn't too far from Dalyer the crowds will definitely drop. And as you said Tolka is a kip which doesn't help. .

Has a plan of what the finished redeveloped Dalymount Park would look like been published yet?
I hear you. In the short term it may be rough going but if the plans as they were unveiled come to fruition fully then it will be well worth it in the end for Bohemians.

Dublin City Council unveil plan for redeveloped Dalymount
Staged construction of the 10,000 capacity ground would cost in region of €20 million

Dublin City Council has produced detailed plans for the new Dalymount Park with a realignment of the pitch and a staged construction envisaged for a project that would have a total budget of €20 million.

Under the plans, which would involve Bohemians playing elsewhere for a period, most likely a season, the new ground would be developed in phases with the first phase to include the laying of the new, artificial playing surface and construction of the main stand.

This would be along the St Peter’s Road end of the ground and contain 4,500 seats as well as club offices and other facilities for Bohemians along with the proposed football museum or “Hall of Fame” visitor attraction as it is described in the council document.

There would also be meeting rooms for local community and youth groups as well as a warm up area and space for other activities.

    Office block
New entrances to the ground would be constructed on St Peter’s Road and Connaught Road, close to the location of the existing but generally disused gate. Seating would be put in behind both goals, in part, to help with the atmosphere inside the new 10,000 capacity stadium. But the second main stand seems likely to be built only when Phibsborough Shopping centre is redeveloped, something that moved a step closer with the recent sale of the office block that overlooks the site.
It is envisaged that some of the land freed up by realigning the pitch would be used as a civic space that would also serve to open up the ground on to Phibsborough Road through the redeveloped commercial area.

I worked on the top floor of the Phibsboro tower for a couple of years in the early 2000's.
Great view of the whole stadium. It's an ambitious plan to turn the pitch & from what I remember visually it'll be an incredibly tight fit for everything planned in the report above, especially with the houses & school on the other three sides being so close.

While it looks like an impressive new stadium, it's only ever gonna be a 1/4 full at most for majority of the season apart from Bohs-Rovers. As for Shels they'll be a junior club or back in the Leinster Senior League after a couple of years in Dalymount.
