Yes true, but will anything be done? Will it * we as fans have put up with this * for over 10 years. Nothing will happen.

We are a big fish in a * little pond of a league, and that is where most fans are happy, winning the league and doing * all in Europe...

I honestly think some of our support just think we are unlucky in Europe. We have been stinking the place out for circa a decade. It’s not unlucky if it’s the same story year after year for that length of time. Out this group with a game to spare is shocking. It’s probably the weakest group we have ever had at this level, and the likelihood is we are going to end it with a point or maybe two.

I know we had a few out last night, that bench though showed a complete failure on the recruitment side of things. It’s probably the poorest bench for a CL game I’ve seen for us. Rodgers call for quality was the same as he was telling us in the summer. We needed first team ready players. He told us. We didn’t get them.

Some aren’t worried mind you. There’s always next year. The problem is, this squad have been together a few years now, and the chances are we will lose a few in the summer and the cycle will start again, so we will be back to square one.

We are * pathetic in Europe, and for a club our size, our record in recent times is scandalous.

I’m his biggest critic, genuinely don’t like him as a player, but I’ll be honest, it’s games like last night when you need the fella.

The most frustrating thing about last night is that Lazio are * and they have beaten us twice.

The tail end of Scott Brown was a shadow of Broony in his pomp, it's natural and doesn't affect his legendary status, it happens to every player when age catches up with them. Likewise, I think Calmac has cemented his place in the history of our club, and should always be viewed as someone who gave us great years during his long career......... But much as it pains me to say it, I thought he was hiding last night!?! We need much more from the position he occupies on the field in games like that.

Was thinking about mcgregor myself. He’s not been his usual influential self but whether that’s from playing too much with Scotland as well as us or not playing his usual role further forward, or a combination of both. Who knows, but he’s still got a lot to give.

Daily Record saying we were "targeted with vile Lazio famine banner". Strange how they have totally ignored the famine song and all the other anti Irish/Catholic * all these years

Was at the game and he definitely wasn’t hiding. He was constantly involved in our play, being a link between defence and attack. It’s a job he does so well that folk are taking it for granted and moaning because he’s not a goalscorer any more.

I couldn’t care less that McGregor isn’t scoring these days. He wasn’t ever really a player who was known for scoring lots anyway. The worry I have is that he isn’t naturally defensive minded, and it shows at the top level in Europe in my opinion. Another concern this season is that he ain’t receiving the ball as good on the half turn and taking us up the park. That was the main reason I actually didn’t mind him as our holding midfielder domestically because we dominate pretty much every game so having someone in that role that could take the ball and turn and play was crucial for playing quickly.

We all knew last summer we badly needed a defensive midfielder for Europe, we didn’t and it was one of the reasons we struggled. Likewise this year, we knew we needed one in the summer, we didn’t get one and we are having the same problems. It’s not the only problem we have for Europe by any means, but it is a big issue for us. For as good a footballer as McGregor is, he doesn’t break up enough in my opinion. I also think he is guilty of getting ahead of the ball ant times and ends up wrong side. It’s absolutely essential we address this position soon.

Yeah - some of this squad will be moving on and then it's back to square one again.

That’s exactly what I think will happen in the summer. This was the year to make a mark in Europe. A settled team, no CL qualifiers to contend with, guaranteed CL money coming our way, already sitting very comfortable financially even without CL money. Take all this into account and yet our board somehow managed to * it up that much we came out the window weaker. It’s just gross negligence in all honesty, and no way a football club with any ambition should be run.

Watch it again when you get home mate, I'm not taking him for granted or thinking about goals, I'm talking purely about his performance last night. I don't think he had a particularly good game, but I can excuse him for that as it's a step up in class and more difficult opponents than the usual, the passing channels are blocked off and the forward pass is often not available, it's difficult and I think we should all appreciate that. But for large parts of the game last night when we were passing it from side to side across the back looking for the chance to go forward, Calmac was running from side to side following the direction of the ball, but always keeping an opposition player between him and whatever defender of ours had the ball. Far too often last night also, when he was in a position to receive the ball from our defence, he seldom had his body opened up to the park, seldom prepared to take it on the turn and attempt to play it forward. All too often it was either a straight pass-back to where it had come from, or one touch and a backwards pass to another defender. That's what I'm referring to when I accuse him of hiding, I'm willing to forgive him any failings with regard to general play and his ability to close them down or halt their attacking play because as I say, it's a higher level of opposition than our normal, and it's tough. But I don't think he was brave enough, and I thought he could have offered more. Just my opinion. Fair play to you for travelling over, other than the result, I hope you had a good trip and get back safe and sound. :50:

I mean, what’s she meant to say?

She’s a presenter, presenting facts on a team that haven’t won a game in Europe in 15, and have won 1 game in the Champions League in a decade.

I don't know mate, either you've not been listening to her as closely as me, or you're a lot more forgiving ? I seen her for the first time before a ball had been kicked in this year's Champions League, didn't have a clue who she was and was just happy we weren't getting one of the usual Hun presenters. Within 10 minutes I was like "who the * is this negative hunette wannabe".......that was before a ball was kicked, and she's been the same every time since. She is obviously being primed and fed lines, every single thing she has said in relation to Celtic has been in the form of a dig, we know our record is bad, we know we haven't been good enough...... But she is ripping the * erse out of it. I say "* her !!" You say she's just a presenter doing her presenting stuff, it's all about opinions and on this occasion we'll agree to disagree.
