I am as unhappy as everyone else about how this window is going but we do seem to be wilfully ignoring the fact that the only link suggests that he was offered to us and we said no. If that is the case I would say that was the right choice.

 

We wouldn't covert half of his wages, probably not even a quarter. We'd cover like 20k max and that would be pushing it

 

Think his agent needs a reality check. No club in the world would pay him £115k a week with his record.

 

Now this is more like it, name wise at least. Career seems to have gone slightly off-piste, and I know PSG have looked to let him go a couple of times before (or at least I’ve seen in the media that he’s been linked with English clubs, etc).

But generally, if we’re going to take a risk, this is the type I’d rather we took: a guy with some actual background and experience who’s near the end of his peak and looking to reinvigorate his career. Beats going for 22 y/o Sum Wee-Giy where all we have to go off is 3 mins of YouTube footage from a rank rotten standard of league.

 

Think his agents touting him and hoping for a Saudi move.

 

Hopefully one that could potentially be done with a couple of hours to go.. a man can hope.

 

Let’s be honest, we had no real intention of signing him or the kinder bueno from Wolves, it’s been put out there so they can say they pushed really hard for quality but it didn’t work out …

If he’s fit I’d take him all day. Have no idea what he’s been like last few seasons but I remember he was good when playing if fit miles better than GT3

No progress on this whatsoever today outside of reality check articles regarding his PSG wage.

if we were to cover his wages it would cost close to 3m to have him here for half a season.

We wouldnt pay the 4m for the boy from portugal on a perm and we scouted him quite a bit by all accounts.

I doubt he is in much of rush. He has only played 8 minutes this season, 135 minutes the season before and nothing before that.

Wouldn't touch with a barge pole.

 

Good player years ago but he's not kicked a ball in 3 seasons and approaching 32. Would not touch.

 

Loan or no loan he’s on ridiculous wages, this isn’t happening.
