We are celtic fc one of the biggest clibs in europe we should be able to play astra giurgiu ,dinamo zagreb and maribor off the park. We should not be getting hammered 6-1 by the champions of poland with a team that cost less than derk Boerrigter. We should not be getting beat at home by maribor fc and we most certainly should not concefe for goals in one game against dinano zagreb another team whos cost to put together was a fraction of ours.

Legia and Maribor games - he was barely in the door and had no time to construct a team. Stokes and Pukki interchanged as his lone striker which was never going to work, we were also missing Scott Brown.

Zagreb game - we had already qualified and he left Scott Brown at home.

No need to get your knickers in a twist really.

 

Going forward, that is the aim. We should be dominating games such as those.

Yes, we should be dominating home games against the likes of Maribor, Zagreb and Legia. I won't be giving Ronny any stick for not dominating those games though as he hasn't had enough time to put his team together yet. I think it's all looking very promising though.

We haven't outplayed anybody in my lifetime mate, unless you count a few big results under Martin in qualifiers. All the history * and "we are Celtic" is just birthday card pish in my opinion.

We should be aiming to do well and dare I say, even winning the EL (with a few quality additions) but this outplaying people because we won the big cup many moons ago and beat some big sides at Celtic Park is just unrealistic.

 

Astra a pub team

Champions of Romania.. Any team that makes it into European competition is far from a 'pub team'. Astra are probably a better side than Aberdeen.

Bollocks mate, Villareal at home, beating Benfica 3-0 at home, Milan 2-1 we controlled that game, Spartak Moscow, home and away (WGS games or Neil Lennon's take your pick), even Dynamo Moscow away under Mowbray Martin O'Neill days altogether!

Is it * mate, we should be controlling games, especially at Celtic Park. I expect a level of composure out of our players that we aren't showing in Europe at the moment. Funilly enough I've saw it twice this season, for 70 minutes against Salzburg after an embarrasing start and Maribor away.

I think some of our fans are underestimating Deila's knowledge of the game. I honestly think he has the potential to go on to be one of the best managers in the game. Obviously it's very early yet and he has an awful lot to learn, but that potential is there.

 

Benfica I'll give you, as for the rest, I never really felt we outplayed our opponents.

It's just not our way, not even under Martin.

We've always punched above our weight, even those plucky wee buggers in 67 weren't given a hope in * in Lisbon.
