Wish we just weren't linked with him in the first place. Now I'll be disappointed if we don't sign him which is unreasonable really :54:

Would be good to have him but not overly fussed if it doesn't happen, which looks likely.

I dont think we should touch this player if he is dragging his heals over a six month deal. As said (if true) on celtic underground, it will take time to get him fit and upto speed, effectively it will be a six month deal for the player and a 5-4 month deal for us.

Clearly he intends to use our team to kick start his career again and to get fit, then to * off at which time we will get no fee. I think its a pure brass neck for a player who sold out his career and success for the sake of money at the height of his ability.

Despite the previously stated, i think the move could be a masterstroke if we can negotiate a shrewd wage deal and a longer contract. A pay as you play deal would be ideal in this scenario but i cant see it happening.

I think we should go for someone else.

Arguably with decent reason, when talking about last season's top scorers by such a distance it's not even funny.

120 goals all season, and they got virtually half between them; so I can seen where Dev gets a bit tetchy when the Stokes stuff comes up constantly (not by you, as an aside,) and in addition, now Commons isn't scoring every week he suddenly is surplus to requirements. Can prove a bit baffling, at times.

+ 1 though I disagree with the baffling bit. This is the internet which means one week someone is a complete superstar and the next he's being told to GTF.

To summarise, people are * :celt_2:

It's simpletons like you who fail to realise that a 40 yard blinder by Balde doesn't mean he's away to turn up next season and fire Celtic to Champions League glory. A simple lack of understanding of the basics, and week to week progression of a fitba player......:smiley-laughing002:

I seem to be one of the few who like successful Celtic players. Bit strange to be honest.

To be fair, Commons doesn't offer, relatively, that much in attack if he is not scoring, and offers absolutely nothing in defence at any time. He definitely does not fit into what Deila is trying to implement. Stokes is better, but is horribly inconsistent and can spend a whole game doing nothing but getting sullen or frustrated. I can see why they get stick.
