I went in summer 2014(as I posted a posts few up)

Enjoyed it but I much preferred Magaluf. Mainly because Zante(Laganas) strip seemed alot smaller in comparison, which it is.

Still good though. Zeros, Rescue, Cherry Bay and Cocktails And Dreams were the bars/clubs we headed to the most. The main ones as well, tbh.

There is also a Scottish bar on the strip but we stormed out after they tried to charge us over the odds for a bottle of Buckfast. As you do.

I'd warn you about the Serbians though(no offence to our Serbian pals on here).
There seemed to be loads of them in Laganas, they even shut one of the main clubs for a night each week to have a Serbs only night.

Me and my mates had a bit of trouble with them. By trouble I mean my pal got knocked the * out by one:56: Asked around when we were over and it appears they clash quite a bit with English/Scots.

Met a few of them and they were sound as a pound don't get me wrong but when we were over as I say alot of them were acting like complete and utter *. Sticking in big groups looking for trouble. Just watch yer *.

I'm so pleased that I can confirm to my pals that there is Buckfast in Zante, thanks a lot for the feedback mate.

Nae bother. You find it everywhere, some of the shops even sell it if yer lucky.

Also, if you are planning on any boat trips or that there is(well was when we were there) a Scottish guy(supported Hearts) on the strip who is a PR and sells the day trips. He gave us money aff.

The boat nearly sank but * it a savings a saving, right.

I'd also recommend the paint party at Rescue, cracking night.

Have you been on this kind of holiday before, nah?

I thought 2 weeks would be a disaster as well before I went and if I'm honest I was a broken man by 10 days but it was still a good experience. We stayed in a small, family run set of apartments and had the whole place to ourselves near enough.

First time away with my mates, am 17 the now and I'll be 17 while am there. Should be okay though.

Hopefully it's a nice place, would hate being stuck in some shithole for two weeks. Quite * off the lassie fae Thomas Cook never warned us about all the Serbs tbh. Hopefully we're no staying with them :/

Jesus, that makes my apartments look like utter *.:smiley-laughing002:

Nah I wouldn't be worried about them, I was only telling you what happened when I was over. I dunno if there is so many of them in Laganas every year.

Alot of them are sound enough boys. Just have a laugh but try and keep your wits about you as well. How many of yous are heading out? There's usually always a sensible * in every group:smiley-laughing002:

4 of us but we're meeting up with people there, I checked out the hotel and Google maps and all the photos looked photo shopped to * :smiley-laughing002: We should be fine, we're sensible enough people. Is it cheap over there? How much spending money would you need for two weeks? People have been telling me it's small things like bottles of water that cost a fortune while you are over there.

I found it cheap enough, aye. It wasn't as cheap as Magaluf funnily enough from what I can remember. I thought it would be the other way about.

I took just over a grand for 2 weeks but came back with a bit to spare. It all depends on how you are with yer money. For example a couple of my mates came back having spent well over 1500 quid. I'm a bit more tight fisted however.

Food is cheap enough as well. Subways, McDonalds, good Greek/Italian restaurants and there's also a Nando's(it's called Piri Piri Heaven or something but it's exactly the same).

Just buy your drink in bulk before you go out at night, drink as much as you can in your apartment/room for pre-drinks.

Well, as you can expect we were pretty hungover 99 percent of the time:56:

So it consisted of sitting by the pool, walking into town to get supplies for at night(we were the very last apartment away from the strip)

Went to the beach a few times, done a boat trip as I said, visited a couple of the other main spots on the island. There's plenty of places to watch the games mate, don't worry about that.

Christ that must of been some trek to the strip and back, did you just get a taxi? I noticed someone said in a earlier post that they were 2 miles away from the strip, * that for a laugh.

If we were going out at night aye we got a taxi. During the day we'd walk often, killed time and sweated out the drink.:smiley-laughing002: Spent a good few nights/early mornings walking back with a kebab in hand, though.

I didn't mind it too much, we got to know the owner of the apartments well and there was a nice wee bar by the pool. Sometimes staying at the smaller, family run places is a better experience. Especially if after a night on the lash I know I couldn't be arsed with a rowdy as * hotel.
