Lack of transfer movement!

Yeah, it's time for an honest appraisal of people at the clubs ability to do their job competently.

What happened to Kennedy during his playing career was a travesty but that shouldn't mean he's entitled to a job at our club through sentimentality. A hallmark of our defences since he was tasked with setting us up for set pieces is that we lose * poor goals time and time and time again. I fail to see the credentials or experience he brings to the job.

What is Toure's involvement in setting up defensively? He is bursting with experience and consistently played at the top level pretty much all throughout his career, why does this experience either not being passed on or is being passed on and isn't being listened to?

Congerton, everything's been said already. 24 days apparently isn't enough time to find a replacement for Boyata....what has this guy and his team been doing for the last 12 months?

 

At this moment in time we have 3 centre half’s injured, one who does not want to be here who is not really injured and the other two are not good enough.


So we have Ajer fully fit, we have had some must win games recently and * it, we have one next week and only Ajer who I have confidence in.

Gordon is a bombscare and I was talking about getting him replaced at the start of last season but for some reason Rodgers is sticking by him. Rodgers fault not the boards with this one.

Defence well our recruitment has been nothing short of a failure and this is down to the board and Rodgers.

McGinn transfer saga was all down to the board, the PR spin at the end when Villa had the deal done and he had already signed and we put in the same bid. But we did try and he should have cake cause he is a Celtic fan ect people eat it up and believed that *, all the boards fault.

Roberts and Armstrong leaving, Was good business regarding Armstrong getting 7 or 8 million with less than a year left on his deal. That was done early in the window and we still haven’t replaced him. It’s clear we don’t have good enough players at the club to come in apart from Brown and Ntcham. All the boards fault for not back Rodgers.

Now down to Roberts, something clearly happened last season cause he was fit near the end and never got game time? We all thought what the * is going on and then it came out he won’t be back.

We have replaced him with another loan in the young lad from down under who is meant to have potential but if I’m honest I really don’t think he is where Roberts was when he first came. Another cheap option again from the board and Rodgers knew * all about it.

Eddy, the spin was fantastic, look we have broken our transfer record 9 million!!!! But we had an agreement to sign him for 7 million, the PR machine had been in full force to pull the wool at the start of the summer, Armstrong paid for that deal.

Izzy in a free was a good bit of business to be fair can’t knock that he will be great back up to come into the side.

Right back, Lustig is past it and Gamboa is not good enough, we seen last season that Lustig was past it, yet we have not addressed this issue, Rodgers is to blame for this really he should have seen this.

Centre half- I really think we need two to come in but can’t even see us getting one in. Rodgers has never addressed this issue since he has been at the club and signed *, also I feel the board has let him down also.

Need a centre mid but can’t see us signing one.

I really do fear for this season and none of us would have thought this after the two years we have had.

I’m scunnered and think this is just all a bad dream but it’s * happening. Absolutely gutted that we have been taken for mugs yet again as fans by our board.

Rodgers has also a lot to answer for as well because of his recruitment, tactics and failing to see the problems within the side.

It’s all a perfect storm for them to raise from and kick us when we are down.

@bhoy81 if you had the defence we have and were in goal would you be happy,no of course not.
The goal we lost last nite was almost identical to the goal we lost in Athens and to me it says it all,our defenders can't defend,and CG made two top class saves in the second half.
We have a week left in the transfer market so we need to work fast,I trust BR wholeheartedly and many have short memories way too short.

 

Gordon is a bomb scare, he needs replaced, passing and distribution is * and puts us under pressure in games.

You will not change my mind even if he has a * defence in front of him.

 

Spot on with this.

24 days is plenty of time it’s the lack of planning that is a real worry.

No doubt we have to go out and spend on the defence before the end of the window but there is even centre halfs that are free agents that would be a huge upgrade on we currently have at centre half bar Ajer.

Christopher Samba is a free agent as well. Don’t know what he is like now, haven’t seen him play in years probably since he was at QPR He was never the fastest but it doesn’t necessarily mean he wouldn’t help the defence but as I said I couldn’t really comment on him other than he is a big tank of a player which we lack.

 

Dread to think what the * being paid a year to do the square root as * ALL. Scott McKenna is the list of CB options we have from his great work - worth every penny.

 

Sack this *.

 

A week until the deadline and no strong rumours of a CB coming in, really.

Also we haven’t replaced Armstrong. Missed out on McGinn and have no alternative options?

The international scouting network made me laugh..Phone man city and ask for tick or players from the league we play in.

Okay so who do you want to replace him or would you prefer Scott Bain who lacks European experience.

 

Johnston lacked European experience but was probably our best player yesterday. KT lacked European experience when he was chucked in vs Fenerbahçe and the likes, but was one of our best players.

How is Bain ever going to get European experience if we don’t give him a game in Europe? I don’t think either is the answer long term. Bain is a backup and Gordon is on his last legs. We need better than both.

 

Like a said on Facebook,we won't miss him until he's gone,twice last night he saved our bacon in the second half of the game yet our fans still moan,I just don't get it.
Still,it's everyone to their own opinion and I respect that.
