Got another half hour for City last night against Liverpool. Imagine he'll finalise a move after the pre-season tour.

Musonda got 15 mins for Chelsea the other night anaw

Im a fan of him and think he'd be excellent for us(in the right formation) but I actually just don't imagine him playing in the EPL. The EPL is a pretty strong, fit, hard League a lot of powerful quick athletes and big guys.

Someone the style of Roberts - not really hardworking, small, weak, not too wise defensively, not the quickest. Really just a pure technical player will find it difficult to hold down a place in a team as unless he is really contributing goals he'll be looked at as a weakness. He's more of a wide player and not many of the mid table or lesser teams can afford to "carry" a defensive liability wide man. Most teams would probably opt for a McClean or Antonio type workhorse who will put in a shift but isnt's much of a footballer and in the #10 position down there he may be swallowed up like Musonda was up here.

Think he'll find it difficult the way a lot of the lightwerweight or less defensively disciplined "footballer" types do in the EPL, where they could be great players for the likes of us Ajax, Basel maybe even teams like Zenit, Fenerbahce, Porto and Benfica but in a top League they don't have the consistency or physicality to succeed. Guys like Musa, Blind, Tadic, Klaassen and that, Rogic is probably another one. A midfield like Klaasen, Blind,Roberts, Rogic and Musa would likely be class for us and rip apart our League for fun and even be decent in Europe for holding possession and creating especially in qualifying but in the EPL it'd be relegated and steamrolled through by players like Jedinak, McArthur, Noble, Darren Fletcher, Gareth Barry, Obing, Diame, Mooy, Ndidi, Gueye and all those types teams are full of.

I would like to see some quality players added to the defence because when we get to the champions league group stages then we are liable to loose a lot of goals .

Word in Australia is that Celtic will sign Daniel Arzani on loan from Man City.

Be excited. Be very, very excited.

I always thought Australia was ahead of us, looks like they're 24 hours behind.

Agree, said pretty much the same a year odd ago.

A luxury player that isn't suited to sides that have potential to slip into a relegation battle, if he even gets an EPL move this year I see him spending most of it on the bench, becoming an impact player.

Would love him back, we have no winger that poses the type of threat he does. Perfect Celtic winger for me domestically, we miss that spark against tight defences. A Sinclair type player just doesn't offer it on the ball, although his movement is probably better.

Aah, I see the Arzani news was old news.

Never mind. He's a brilliant player and the hoops fans will love him.

He won’t get a game though, surely? But I suppose it’s cheaper to have a loan bench warmer than one on the books.

Or do you expect him to be a starter? If so, in front of who?

On a radio interview before the game this week Brendan was asked if we were going for him and it seemed like he barely knew who the guy was, so I think it unlikely we're taking him on loan.

Doubt if he'll be a starter any time soon, but he's very special. Incredible skill - always beats the first man and gets great crosses in. Runs at defences and can be devastating coming on with 20 to go. Only 19 so has a lot of improvement in him.

Then after the game he said it’s one the club has identified.

His comments have been baffling this week almost as if he doesn’t know what’s going on!

Comments from Brendan have been baffeling indeed, I get the impression the board aren’t backing him in his player interests.
Probably a bit of nervousness on my behalf but I hope it doesn’t lead to any fall outs.

I'm just glad to see Brendan thinks we need new players and we are actively trying to get a few in! From his first set of press conferences it seemed as though he was happy with the squad which I found worrying.

We will get new boys in eventually. Realistically, anyone new coming in wouldn't walk straight into the current Starting XI, they would have to understand how we work first. I am confident that we are good enough as it is to qualify but the new signings will need to be bedded in for the group stage.

We also don't know if the agents of our targets are holding on to see if we do qualify for Champions League first as that is the key reason any ambitious player will be signing for us.

The team we have right now has quality right through it. Because of the injury crisis over the last two seasons, great players have developed where they would have been asked to find a new club elsewhere. McGreagor being the key example, Forrest played all of last season because of injury to Roberts. Ajer played some big games, given the opportunity as the trio of Boyata, Simunovic and Sviachenko last season were completely unreliable. There was always two to five key players missing for the European games.

I would say Ntcham is the most improved player. We will See more of Jack Hendry, Mickey Johnson and and Anthony Ralson before the board actually spends any more money. I actually have confidence in the players stepping up because Brendan Rodgers is so good at improving players. Jack Hendry, 200k signing from Dundee 6 months ago, now the first choice in a Champions League qualifier and playing for Scotland in Mexico. He'll go on to be a confident ball playing CB driving forward which is what we want. Hendry is getting the chance because of injury and suspension. The Celtic defence are so unreliable, and the club have made an * of bringing any new CBs in. One thing is certain, half the main international first picks will be injured when we need them in the big games it's shambolic!

It's frustating for the fans that the club has wasted £2 million on Marvin Compper to sit in the treatment room. Celtic should conduct a review into the sanctioning of his signing and then pay get rid of him. They also need to get on top of these injuries, we are the most injury prone club in the world it seems. We're the ones that lose out if we slip up in Europe. Brendan wants us to mix it in the latter stages and that's what Celtic's all about. Still a double treble was incredible let's not panic we have a strong team to be proud of.

Think we really need to start gradually raising our ambitions. Seemed like the Eddy signing was a step in that direction, but with transfer movement stuttering to a halt after that, it seems not so. We really don't need to strengthen anywhere past the defence. Mikey Johnston is a good enough young winger through our own ranks that if there's injuries, he should be given a shot. We've got three quality strikers in Eddy, Moussa and Griff, and if need be, young Aitchison has shown enough promise to be on the bench if things get tight. Really think we need to spend money on a RB and a CB as priority. Really not seeing the buzz around Ralston. Granted, he's young and hasn't got a ton of experience, but it seems a lot of his popularity comes from laughing in Neymar's face, despite being absolutely roasted off him all game. The boy was obviously thrown in the deep end, but its those sink or swim moments that make a player in many cases. The CB problem is obvious. I'm a fan of both Hendry and Ajer, both however, are very young. Maybe bringing in a CB with a bit of experience who is maybe between the ages of 25-28, might not be such a bad idea.

Additionally, if Rodgers is persisting with the goalkeeper playing it out from the back, then we're going to need to bring someone in who can actually do it. Big Gordon is an incredible shot-stopper, he's dug us out a good few times now with outrageous saves. However, his distribution is woeful, and for his size, his commanding of his area leaves a lot to be desired. Can't see us spending a lot of money on a GK in all honesty, but its something worth looking at.

Nobody is asking for us to win the Champions League. To be honest, all I want is to go to Celtic Park and not get ran over the top of by the teams we're up against. A bit of money spent in the right areas will see us becoming more composed and solid at the back. We're already dangerous going forward, lets see if we can make the right changes by the end of the window.
