Once again have to admire the technical level of football in La Liga, it's so impressive how the less wealthy manage it.
Mind you a lot of it has to do with training anyone who can kick a ball at 5 years the important basics instead of saying oh you're too wee for the crunching tackle and long ball into the box.
That's what I think Celtic are trying to achieve at the Academy because more and more our youngsters are looking tidy with their feet no matter if they'll make it or not.

Don't fall for the rumours, of which the majority are. Ousmane Dembélé isn't going anywhere

 

I'd like to make something of him but he hasn't played enough to get a good enough feel due to injuries. The truth is that even while Neymar was here, I coveted the player and hoped he could fit in at Barcelona but knew it was unrealistic with Neymar still there. Of course, I also wanted Neymar sold since Fall 2016 - brilliant talent but not professional enough for me.

I, like many Barcelona fans, have been very excited about Dembélé but it's clear that the transfer fiasco to acquire him and the subsequent injuries have taken the edge off of that excitement. I have been bored by Valverde's 4-4-2 but I expected this when he was hired - I hold out hope that he has a surprise in store to spring the 4-3-3 with Dembélé starting but Valverde is probably too conservative to do this tonight against Chelsea. Perhaps for good reason as Ousmane still hasn't established enough playing time to warrant starting

On a side note, it is interesting how many bizarre rumours can be generated these days - there are a couple of really poor sources in Spain in particular (Diario Gol & Don Balon) on a daily basis that spew out clickbait
