Tee hee league title wise it must suck being a Real Madrid fan this week - league is between the city rivals or title rivals.

In general I prefer Barca but kinda want Atletico to win the league. Always cool to see a dark horse do well. What a game it'll be.

 

Just looking at the past winners of the Spanish League. If Barcelona win at the weekend it will be their 7th title out the last 10. Real Madrid have only won 7 out the last 24, mad how much theyve underachieved.

Since I was born Real have won it 7 times and Barcelona are going for 13.

 

I am begining to think Barcelona will win the title come Saturday. Reading Xavi's interview you got the impression they see this game as the final game for this team and this great era they have enjoyed. It really is amazing how all 3 sides have stumbled over the last few weeks leaving it all coming down to this one game. The plus side for Athletico is that in the 5 previous meetings this season they are unbeaten against Barcelona although 4 of them have been draws.

 

Im not sure, I dont think they will. They have struggled badly this season with teams sitting in against them which is what Atletico will do and they don't have anything to really change to make it work. Like they cant play big players and cross into the box cause theyve no got any. So their only option is to pass about be patient and wait for openings and Atletico are a robust defensive side who defend well and give away very few openings.

Atletico should be able to hold on to sneak a 0-0 unless they get put under severe pressure and get someone sent off or that. Will be some game

 

My bags are packed for flying out to Barcelona tomorrow morning, buzzing isn't even the word

Yeah i got a ticket months ago for it, knew it would be a big game but not as big a game as it is. Been to a few games this season, but this will be far the best

Yeah i think it will be a nervy atmosphere for a while. I would prefer Barcelona to win but if Atletico do win it then i wouldn't be to fussed as they have been awesome this year and a real breath of fresh air to La Liga and CL. Going to be a party somewhere afterwards anyway :smiley-laughing002:

 

Playing for 0-0 would be silly in my opinion. Altetico like to sit deep and play on the break, and I wouldn't change my game plan if I was Simeone, but I wouldn't be looking for 0-0, I would be going to the Nou Camp with the intentions of winning the game. They have got players that can hurt Barca, and they are more than capable of scoring. Playing for 0-0 is only inviting Barca to attack.

 

So the FA Cup final and the winner takes all match between Barca and Atletico Madrid are on at the same time.
