I would say it is, there are really only a few top teams who can afford the best players Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, PSG, Chelsea and Man City... if they want a player then the players is probably going to them as they can all outbid the "2nd tier" who also could attract other teams best players but dont seem to have the money - Man Utd, Arsenal and Juventus. And then after them id say is where Dortmund, Liverpool, Atletico, AC Milan, Inter, Roma and that come in as they never really spend much money and so never really sign the top players, top players are more likely to emerge from these teams and be sold than sign for them - Monaco can probably be included with them now.

Atletico arent big enough to hold their best players if the "top tier" teams want them. Same as Liverpool, AC Milan, Roma, Dortmund or that cant either.

If Man City wanted Filipe Luis or Diego Costa for example this summer they'd have got them even over Chelsea.

Man City are probably 4th best for attracting players now after Barca, Real and Bayern.

But his point was finances other than that I would still hold Atletico as a bigger club historically than Man City,I get what you are saying but other than money City have done * all in Europe, but I forgot they play in the best league in the universe :50:

City are only an emerging club though, they were nobodied 5/6 year ago.

Atletico done heehaw in Europe for a good 10 year until about 4/5 year ago.

But I would still have had them as a bigger club than City until the sheiks turned up

If I was a footballer I'd rather play for Atletico Madrid than Manchester City.

I'm just saying, other than financial gain, City offer nothing more.

City will only get bigger and more powerful as time goes on, and even though they are a cash cow they actually are investing in the right places to sustain thier growth, athletico are going through a good spell now but i dont see it lasting as their best players will be pinched and im sure simeone wont be far behind, unlike city they dont have the financial muscle to keep building.

Gurpegui has been brutal today. Not a fan of playing him at CB, would rather play San José. Glad Valverde realised he was struggling.

Itu has carried on his great form from last season.

Anybody see the end of the Malaga - Bilboa game? I turned it over with 5 minutes to go as Malaga were up 1 -0 they brought some guy Garcia on & he got sent off in 88 minutes. Then the Bilboa keeper scored a peach of a header from a corner & it got chopped off for * all, then Malaga got another player sent off before the Malaga keeper rugy tackled a Bilboa player with no penalty - What a * 10 minutes with extra time

Eibar causing a lot of problems for La Real, hopefully they can hold their lead!

A few old Athletic faces in the Eibar team. They just signed Ekiza from us last month too but he's on the bench.
