Great striker. So many memorable goals. He’s left on such a high - a wee shame he never got those goals against YB.

I’m pleased to see the club not keeping players too long. £10m is decent business. Obviously the other side of that is we need to trade will in terms of a replacement. Preferably this window but I would maybe be fine to wait for the summer if it meant the right player and right deal *ducks for cover*

My first thought when clicking onto this chat..

 

The board will get slaughtered if they allow us to go into the Champions League next round without having signed a replacement striker.

As for Kyogo....I know he wanted to leave....and we actually made a tidy bit of profit through his sale aswell. But leaving Celtic for a team like Rennes will not be a good choice. I could see the point if he was moving to Barca, Liverpool or Bayern Munich. Those type of moves are a no brainer for any player....
But to move to Rennes...not a big name club at all....bottom half of the French league etc....
It would not surprise me if he fades into obscurity and we never hear from Kyogo again

For me, Kyogo is one of those players who we just cannot replace with someone of the same standard. He wanted to leave though which effectively gave us no choice but to sell him.

Henrik was an irreplaceable player. We could have sold him to England for 20 odd million at any time, but it would have been pointless because even that 20 odd million spent entirely on his replacement would not have got us a striker as good as Henrik.
Dembelle was almost in the same category. We had Eddy ready to go to replace him though.

I don't think we will replace Kyogo with the same standard of striker. Those type of players are aiming above Celtic when they consider moving. I think we'll need to unearth another hidden gem cause Kyogo standard strikers are gonna be outwith our price range and wage structure

 

I don't think he scored a single goal for us. I remember him missing a ridiculous open goal against hearts however
