Desperately need a replacement. We cannot go with Idah, Kenny and Maeda through the middle.

    Spend some * cash, Celtic.

Is one of his reasons no that he wants to enhance his chances of getting called back up to the national team.

I’m fine with him leaving he helped us get k.o ucl football, but only if we sign a replacement. If we sell and no replacement is brought in it will be one of our biggest mistakes in recent memories.

I hope our hail mary isn't just putting maeda upfront.

I'll be gutted to see him go if he does leave, gives us so much more than goals.
Easily my favourite striker since Larsson.

All the best wee man .

I don't think it would matter if Kyogo was playing in France or England if the national manager doesn't pick you when you are scoring goals for fun like he was with us under Ange it seems more to do with today's manager not liking you

Reports saying g we are paying g 10 m for jota and they have a 10 per cent sell on fee …. If that’s true we are conned tbh jota hasn’t even featured for Rennes or anyone else for a while whilst kyogo is our first team striker

I love Jota but by the sounds of it he literally hasn't played a decent game of football since he left us. If those figures are true there's no way we should be spending close to what we're getting for Kyogo.

10m euros what's that just over 8m still? Or is it equal.

So essentially it's a swap deal but Rennes get 10% of Jota's profit in his next sale?

    Mental.

    Either way...

We bought Jota for £6.5m + 30% clause. Sold him for £25m, with £5.5m going to Benfica. We made a profit of £13.5m on Jota.

This new deal is a player trade so we've sold Kyogo for £13.5m in the grand scheme of things?

Around a £9m profit on him?

I'm not bothered with this. If he leaves it's because he wants to go. He's not a fan like the rest of us, he's an employee and looking out for his own needs. As we will ours. Good luck to him.

£10m is also great business for a 30 year old.

It's their ages IMO. Kyogo is 30 and realistically has no sell-on value. That reduces what we can get for him and this will be his last big contract probably. Jota is 25 and could easily go to the EPL for £20 million in a couple of years if he can do it in the CL.

Think it's telling that we never bothered getting a sell-on fee added to the Kyogo deal.
