Yes he confirmed it

 

Aye he's gone mate. Rennes manager came out and said he expects it to be confirmed tonight. Kyogo has been photographed getting on to that jet.

 

Think the manager of the signing club admitted they were signing him.

From a business point of view, it's a good deal. From a practical point of view, it looks like he wanted it. From a hopeful point of view, it might enable us to bed in a striker for next year's qualifiers.

Kyogo changes agents in the summer. He clearly wants the move and I'm assuming it's because he wants to get back in to the Japan squad next year. Good luck to him.

 

Agree he is the best we've had since Larsson. He's frustrated me recently but he has been massive for us.

 

Aye, suppose if you look at fine details like that it's maybe telegraphed a bit. Over my head, genuinely thought he'd be here till just about retirement then go back to Japan.

It does seem like Kyogo wants this move and after the service he has given us and the sheer number of big time important goals not just goals he has scored for us I wish him nothing but the best. Plus to get 12m euro for a player turning 30 that is good going financially it has to be said. Having said all that it certainly leaves us short up top going into the Aston Villa game with Maeda suspended also. Bigger picture if this happens for the rest of the season is interesting. How are we planning to replace Kyogo both short term for the rest of this season and what about next season.

What a * player he's been for us, an all round quality wee guy who was lethal for us on so many occasions.

Head is saying let's get it done and evolve the team, but thinking about what he's gave us is leaving me absolutely gutted he's away.

Of course we need him. He thrives when attacking in space. We should find loads of spaces away at Villa.

If we win at Villa, we have a chance to make the top 8. We should do our best to win.
