I should be in great mood after we grabbed the 3 points last night, but I'm sort of frozen/sad without tears due to this transfer story

It was just so typical that Kyogo brought his shooting boots last night and then they were all VAR’d off. He has been missing identical chances to all three of those all season then gets them last night and none of them stand.

The timing just feels right (would be better in the summer, mins).

He’s been brilliant for us and we’ve been brilliant for him. Clearly not quite as good as he was a couple of years ago, albeit still got moments of sheer class in him.

£10m+ for him is decent business and if we can replace him for less money with Kvistgaarden, it just makes sense.

Honestly will be * sad seeing him go.

We could get a mental household name in as a replacement and go balls to wall with money, just for argument sake like, and it won't dull how sad I feel about kyogo leaving.

Just his whole character and how he presents himself has been so endearing and I will miss him bad.

I swear if we lose Maeda next season as well I think I'll just watch bowls instead, too much pain :90:

Rodgers has said he won't keep a player that doesn't want to be here. If Kyogo is pushing for the move then it's gonna happen. Replacement lined up or not.

Keeping him to the summer would be preferable but Rennes are getting dragged into a relegation battle, they are desperate now. If the money is on the table and he wants to go then let him go.

I am much in the same boat with you. I hope the club have invested too much into marketing in Japan to simply let the number of Japanese players go to zero over time.

They are wonderful people to have in the group

His contributions at the club have been fantastic, but for me it's time we evolve.

Syonara wee fella it's been emotional, but we move on...

If he agitating for a move, then let him go..

Love the wee man, but it may be the right time.

If we could get Jota back as part of the deal and we bring another quality ST, then that's football..

I'd be looking for closer to £15m tho.

Doesn't suit how we play, and imho hasn't really been the same player he was before the shoulder injuries.

Would let him go....BUT we have to get in a ready made replacement who would suit our system.

Great wee guy who can score from nothing after being invisible for 90% of the match, he is wasted in our system and we are lacking the type we need to be effective ourselves.

Changed his agent last year didn’t he? So it’s probably been in the works for a while. Goes with my best wishes and you would like to think the clubs got a contingency.

Fair enough the wee man wants more national team games but lets see, using the Scottish league as an excuse is just an
    easy one.

    Good luck KYOGOALS… player

Stade Rennais will recruit Kyogo Furuhashi, the Japanese striker from Celtic Glasgow, for €12 million. The agreement between the two clubs is twofold since it includes a return of Jota to Scotland.

Very active in this winter transfer window, Stade Rennais has found its center forward. The Breton club is about to recruit Kyogo Furuhashi, as announced by Le Parisien . The Japanese, a starter against Young Boys Berne on Wednesday evening (1-0), participated in Celtic Glasgow's qualification for the Champions League play-offs. He will now head to Brittany after the agreement reached between the Rennes and Scottish leaders, set at €12 million. Furuhashi, who has scored 10 goals in 22 Championship matches this season, will, according to our information, sign for three and a half years, until June 2028.

See when they say twofold what do they mean by return of Jota to Scotland, I take it that’s a completely separate deal. Not €12m + Jota for Kyogo. That would be some deal.

I hope we have a replacement lined up because Idah and Kenny are not the answer.
