Disagree strongly, sorry. He had flaws but there is plenty of footage of his runs, his team play and decision making being very good, in direct contrast to your claim. He wasn’t perfect, but he was excellent for us. The evidence is online to see.

If it's a question of who is more talented, then it's Eddie all day long. If it's a question of who's a better player for the team, I prefer Kyogo. For all his incredible talent, I can mentally visualise Eddie jogging lazily back juxtaposed with that incredible run to track back that Kyogo did.

    We’ll agree to disagree mate.

Like I say, there’s not going to be any highlights reels of all the times he was dispossessed or didn’t release the ball.

You can say the same for players playing at a higher level than Eduoard.

Bruno Fernandes’ YouTube videos will make him look like one of the best players in the world, won’t show you him giving it away 20 times in a game though.

I mean there were a few articles written about it.

anyway, I do agree with you to a certain extent. Had that last season not panned out the way it did then people wouldn’t be as against Eduoard

kyogo has the pressing and movement. Eduoard has the dribbling, finishing and linkup

Eduoards languid approach was always going to see him get the ‘he doesn’t try hard enough’ whereas Kyogo gets ‘at least he is trying’ even when he hasn’t scored an away goal for almost a year?

There is a lot of recency bias when folk claim Kyogo is the best since Larsson, and don’t get me wrong I love Kyogo and think he’s been fantastic for us. I certainly don’t feel nostalgic when I’m judging Edouard, I’m not pretending he didn’t have flaws, but I take that as read because every player does.

I don’t even think it’s a controversial opinion, I think it’s obvious Edouard has more to his game. If we were going purely on ability alone, rather than overall contribution to the club, the best since Larsson would really be Keane or Bellamy.
So did your brain block it out or not? :giggle1:

Kyogo is more talented imo , he executes finishes Eddie isn't capable of. Has better awareness and finesse. Edoaurd is class and can be powerful and direct and is a right good finisher as well but I would put Kyogo .
Movement and game intelligence is far better aswell.

But I’ve acknowledged he has flaws in his game so…

He was so so clumsy for large parts of games .He used to just try and run through players. Used to get constant moans and groans. Kyogo has the odd sloppy moment but Eddie was loose in possession far far more often.

If Edouard was more loose in possession it’s because he had the ability to carry the ball a lot more often than Kyogo. There are games where Kyogo has had less than 5 touches.

It’s that true your same metric has Ryan Christie and Stu Armstrong as better players than Calmac.

    AKA utter *.

He was never the same after that broken ankle, to be fair. Arsenal should have sold him a lot sooner.

Lol, Calmac could’ve easily moved to the EPL. Try again.

So your metric then is your own opinion, not who has and who hasn’t played in the EPL.

For the record, Kyogo could play in the EPL with consummate ease.

Funny how no EPL team wants him.

Edouard and Kyogo both have their flaws for that there is no doubt.

What annoys me most is when edouard was here everyone was shouting that he was worth 30m and now that he’s away he is suddenly crap which i think is largely down to him not working out at Palace, if he rompt it down south everyone would be claiming he was the best since Larsson.

He definitely got involved in the game more and was far better on the ball, kyogo is arguably a better finisher though.

Love that video of him and Greg Taylor when he says he looked up no goalkeeper so I thought shoot, I shoot and goal.
