Kyogo can be world class, but the team around him need to play in a very specific way to get the best out of him.

Our play last season was the primary reason his goals dried up in comparison to the season before.

He doesn't suit what brendan is doing so I'd be inclined to sell at a high price and get someone in who suits the style.

Reminds me a bit of the Boyata transfer bid we rejected. Fantastic offer, but absolutely no confidence in us having done any sort of forward planning for his replacement.

Can actually see Kyogo playing in a Man City type team. The way they play would suit him to a tee.

Think we'd be daft to knock back anything north of 15 million quid.

We'd also be daft to sell him though, who the * would we replace him with. With what 8 days or so left in the window.

Profit would be through the roof, but what good does that do.

Our board have zero ambition, only ambition is to be a point above the steel zombies.

If Man City are serious about Kyogo, he's offski.

This 100%. Main reason we don't do well in Europe is when we finally get a settled team that we can try to add the quality to, we sell our best players and replace them with more projects. Then repeat the process every 2 or 3 years.

Sadly that's probably always going to be the case.

We just need to try and get better at the level of player that replaces them to try and get past that issue.

Other teams are good at it. Likes of Ajax, Benfica, Salzburg etc etc the usual who are always mentioned along with us. We are miles off what they have in terms of footballing structure.

In the case of Ajax and Benfica we also can't match them from a TV right and general income perspective. However there's lessons to be learned. They are proactive and think ahead (ajax a mess atm I'll admit).

It's fine for us to be a selling club as barring I'd say about 2 clubs in the world now, man city and Real Madrid, every club is. We are doing a good enough job at it but the scary thing is it could be a lot better.

The task after this window ends, regardless of HOW it ends, good or bad, we need to assess the footballing structure. I was massively relieved to hear Rodgers mention it earlier in the week. It's just * looking for a club like ours to not have anything in place.

Ajax have been a shambles the last few years. They also spent all the money they got from selling their players on absolute *.

Aye I referenced that in my post.

But when they had a competent DoF in charge they were flying and had been for years.

Plenty other examples too. Club Brugge have brought in jusr under 60m this window (euros) and have signed a number of players for just about 30m to come in.

Our margins seem a lot smaller in terms of what we spend on replacements.

Wow.. I laughed at the link too..

He's 29, so we'd be right to cash in..

It's just we're not dynamic enough to replace him.
