He would score for fun & that's exactly what pep knows. Kyogo makes runs all the time but celtic play against teams with 11 defenders ffs
He makes the same runs for city & beats offside trap he is 1 v 1 ......
City have some the best passers in the world.
Kyogo would score 20 goals easily for city.
Win win for both city & kyogo but leaving us fuked for champions league

Genuinely believe he'd have similar impact in the premiership with City that Larsson had at Barca... They're both better than SPFL, and when he got to show it I think he'd scored loads for them...

I’m well aware that City are one of the biggest and richest clubs in world.

I hope we hold them to a record fee for Kyogo, if they’ve identified him as their main target for backup striker then we’ve every right to demand big money for him this late in the window. It would be amazing business for us - as much as I love Kyogo he’s isn’t worth that amount of money.

I know they’ve got all the money in the world and we’ve got a great relationship with them, but I think they do smart business as a club. £25million for Kyogo isn’t smart business given his age and injury record. I think they would move on to their next target quite quickly if we slapped that sort of price tag on the wee man.

But * them hope he stays

It doesn't feel like a move that's front and centre, I'll give you that, but I still think he's good for 15-20 goals a year for them, which is not money wasted... I also think it's highly likely they'll pay us next to * all, but give us 1 or 2 players from their pool instead... I think this may actually have come about from us looking at their players, and not vice versa... Not based on anything solid, but it's how it feels to me...

I think it will happen myself but it won’t be for that sort of fee.

If we can get 1 or 2 Frimpongs included in the deal then even better.

I went on the man city forums, and some itk poster (seems to be taken seriously) said he heard about the link weeks ago. Recommended by someone at city who was working with him at vissel. Seen as a bargain given his ability and suitability for Citys incumbent squad.

Their "shortlist" is down to him and one other player.
I imagine given their financial issues it would to whichever player would be cheaper overall (fee, wages, incentives etc).

Unfortunately, if City come in with an offer over 20, i think BR will let him go.

    Id be gutted. Truly.

I know we're a selling club, but get him that surgery, and he could bang them in for us fir another 3 years, more than equalling any fee City throw at us.

Absolutely love everything about him from his smile to his goals but Celtic will not turn down 20m+ for a player nearly 30. If it's 20m sitting in the bank I will be raging. If it's money invested then I will understand with a sad face.

I’ve said it like a broken record, when we went and spent £9.5m on Idah, the days before that was when the club became aware of Kyogo to City was a real possibility. I would say with our relationship with City, we were asked about the price and were told expect an offer that meets our needs in the coming week.

This is why we are seeing links to the MLS LA lad. If anyone thinks we will get a like for like they are living in a non-Celtic bubble.

    Unfortunately this is happening.

Last season when we had a player or two out injured look how much our standards dropped. Can we really lose 2 or 3 out of this team in one window and not think we would struggle. I would be against this mainly because we could be sure our board woul;d not replace with like for like or better.

I think if the Man City link is genuine and we don’t let him leave we might see a completely different Kyogo. There will be no smile on his face.As much as I would love him to stay this would be a massive opportunity for him to play in the epl

It won't. If the links genuine, you'll never see him play again outside the odd friendly. That's just how good city's squad is.

They have no strikers though. Just Haaland. I think he'd make the bench.

Kyogo would absolutely smash it with City.. people go on as if the EPL is as unbelievably good as SkySports and BT make it out to be.. its not..its * average as soon as you get outside the top 6.. most of their clubs got battered last year in Europe.

If Forest and Bournemouth or the likes were playing out my back garden I wouldn't open the curtains.

Kyogo in that Man City team, no bother..

    Hate to see it but

If a bid comes in it will be the player who ultimately decides how keen he is to push for a move. Celtic need Kyogo more than we need 20m. Whether he goes for 5m or 25m doesn't really matter when there is no chance of us spending the money properly.

Yer man at the Athletic that broke the news about City's interest. Said we rejected bids last week for Kyogo (not from City) and Kyogo was * off about it.

He probably wasn't playing due.to his shoulder as the pain and discomfort it causes can be really painful if you playing football. In my opinion he needs quick surgical intervention maybe a subacromial decompression which would help him but would be round about 6.months out
