Poor guy was getting the rough treatment today and went into his shell, we are playing Russian roulette with only 1 recognised striker at the club, if the guy gets a serious injury we are *.

Kyogo has no problem getting himself involved in physical side of the game... but in Scotland it is clear he doesn't get same level of consistent protection from officials as he probably would anywhere else in the world.

His movements, positioning and general play would have seen him earn about 2 pens today if not in Scotland

I think every team will do this, until we get a backup. They know if they put him out the game, we are severely limited.

He’s started the season brightly, just needs to pop a goal in and they’ll start flowing.

Since no team could live with his movements the Huns/media have consistently pushed a narrative that he's lightweight, goes down easily and is always looking for it so that teams can smash him and the doubt lingers... He's a sharp instrument, blunted by Hammerthrowing thugs on a consistent basis... If he was playing for the Huns they'd have ANOTHER 20 penalties a year!

He missed a few sitters again yesterday and while his movement was good, he needs to be nailing those chances. And seemed slow to get himself back onside a few times.

Shouldve took that operation then a simple roll onto the grass wouldnt be popping a shoulder out. Need another striker in ASAP. Another 2 in fact.

Just looking at Kyoto’s stats in Asian Champions League 2020.
He scored winning goals in 2 of the 4 group stage matches plus 1 in a 5-1 thrashing which was voided due to covid. The other when he didn’t score they lost.
Scored in QF and they won.
Didn’t score in SF and they lost.
Hope he scores in all our CL matches and we can get to at least SF. :84:

I would have rested him for this weekend anyway tbh. Idah gives hibs a completely different thing to deal with.

So he'll be on the subs bench then

Doubts have emerged over Kyogo Furuhashi's fitness after he was posted missing from training

The Celtic striker needed treatment on his shoulder after it popped out during last weekend's 2-0 Premiership victory over Hibs at Easter Road after landing awkwardly on it. He was able to continue after the medical team put in back into place, but was eventually subbed off. The Japanese attacker has suffered from shoulder issues before, and the worry in Leith was that his absence would leave Brendan Rodgers without a recognised striker

Kyogo was nowhere to be seen during the open segment of Friday's training session. That's sparked fears that he won't be available for Sunday's game, which could see Idah lead the line and make his second Bhoys debut.

Rodgers said after last Sunday's game: "His shoulder popped out. I think it’s just one of those ones that he had an awkward fall and it knocked it out. The guys put it back in again, but he felt the soreness. I don’t need to risk him.

Suddenly raising the stakes for Idah from 4m to 9.5m makes sense now. Panic buy on our part after Kyogo's injury vs Hibs.

How long would shoulder surgery put him out for?

Probably worth getting it done as soon as Europe is over. Get him back fit for the end of the season and then ready for whatever qualifiers we have next season.
