I love Koyogo and would be sad to see him go but if we got offered 15m for him by a German club especially given his age we would have to jump at that. But I will believe it when I see it.

Don't want him to go but a year ago the thought of him leaving would have been unthinkable. After past season it's maybe slightly easier to see us replacing him.

He doesn't really fit Rodgers style and there were games were he was barely getting a touch and being honest 19 goals from 50 games is a pretty average return this season so not outwith realms of possibility that we could find someone who would be an upgrade

People forgetting the big goals he has scored this season, our best football has been when playing to Kyogo’s strengths but unfortunately hasn’t happened too often.

He will be a very hard player to replace, his work rate and ability to score in big games is massive.

I think he'll be here another year at least. He signed a new deal last summer and he's 29 ffs. There's signing a new deal to maximise profit, and there's signing a new deal because you've found a home.

With Kyogo, I believe it's the latter.

He's a player who eliminates at least one defender (provided we see his movements ourselves!) as the second they take their eye off him he disappears from them. He's a nightmare for them all when used properly. Think he's probably gonna see out his current deal (possibly very small extension) and go back to Japan out of contract. He'll be badly missed...

I would like to see us try new formations and have the option to go 2 up top, think Kyogo & Idah/Miovski would absolutely run riot.

Saying he had not the same impact … he scored more big goals this term I believe just look at the quality of the derby goals he scored this season absolute legendary finishes in the two of them

We had it a couple of times in the first half of the season and it looked decent, Oh off the bench and Kyogo dropped in behind, defence really didn't know what to do after being parked on Kyogo all game and keeping him relatively quiet, now you've got a unit in the middle and Kyogo is just floating about wherever.

When he done that Kyogo was dropping into midfield to keep the same shape. 352 of some variety is only way we could see it work properly.

Has Rodgers used a 352 in recent years? I remember last summer a few saying he'd played a 343 at times with leicester but I have no idea if that was a tactical choice or forced by injuries, I don't watch much EPL.

He did play a kind of 442/352 in the Cl qualifiers when we had Moussa and Edouard just before Moussa left. Worked great as well.

We forget as well but Ange really subbed the striker pretty much every game and usually between 60-70 minutes, our strikers under him played a certain way knowing they'd be subbed. He only played 90 minutes under Ange 11 times and some of them were because lack of options like people got injured or there was no striker on the bench or the team had too many injuries and random players in it like 4 of the 5 times he played 90 minutes under Ange was his first season November/December when everycunt was injured.

Under Rodgers he plays more random minutes, this season he played 90 minutes 9 times. Probably had to adapt his game to needing to play 80-90 minutes more often.

I absolutely love Kyogo but I think Eddy has been out most complete striker since Larsson.

He absolutely was a huffy, halfhearted * but he was exceptional

If he was such a bad apple i doubt we would of invited him back up for the player of the year awards.

The fact is we all seen him as a 30m player whilst he was here

He was a 30 million player until he threw a strop during the covid season. He hasn't exactly been great at Palace either. His performance at Ibrox before he left was disgrace

I think if he tore up the EPL then everyone on here would be saying he was the best since Larsson.

Very similar to Sammy he was an enigma, if he wanted to rip it up he could so easily. Not forgetting when he did apparently drop tools he was still top scorer, the whole team and management dropped tools that season though.
