Id also add Juranovic to that list of creative players we lost. He was also the ideal type of full back for Rodgers system.

AJ certainly has his qualities but he's been so up and down this season, in some games he's so up and down in each half.

Juranovic has been a big loss, particularly the player he was in his 1st season here

29 goals in the last 9 games isn’t bad going for side to side nonsense.

    What was creative about Juranovic?

He was a very talented player that was heavily involved in a lot of our build up play. Was a far better passer of the ball than Johnston is.

Didn't contribute a lot of assists if ur wanting to look at basic numbers but worth remembering under Ange no full back did due to style of play.

Throughout his career he has a high number of assists and would have been an ideal fit in Rodgers system

Still don't remember him being creative. He contributed to play certainly, but wouldn't ever describe him as creative. He is a more out and out FB granted.

Under Ange Ralston had a high number of assists. Pretty sure Taylor too, so not sure that's true about the other FBs.

Juranovic wasn't as creative as he should have been, I remember his YT compilation having loads of wicked crosses but we didn't see so much of it majority of the time.

Ralston was more effective going forward

Aye just looked at stats there and suprised by their number of assists, especially Ralston's.
He was played out of position at left back a lot under Ange which maybe why assists not as high as the other 2 playing on their natural side or maybe I just have wrong impression of Juranovic. Just always seemed a player who was heavily involved in our build up play.

I know our play in general doesn't suit him as much as it did in previous seasons, but he needs to do MUCH more. One of the weak links at the moment, as shocking as that is for me to say

Vardy completely fell out of form with Rodgers' system.

He's a player who likes playing on the shoulder and finding space too. So wouldn't be surprised if the kids are waving goodbye to Kyogo at the end of the season...

Won a watch with Idah. He's won about 3/4 games from his contribution so far has he not?

Either Kyogo goes or Rodgers goes at the end of the season, no point keeping both. Another empty jersey today, his fault or not.

He's been ok, but he's another that's not good enough and not one who's gonna seriously put Kyogos starting place under threat.

Was absolutely honking when he came on today ans was same last week too

Aye, he's not been as good as the initial few games - which he pretty much won for us - and he's been far better than I expected.

Didn't think he was honking today, just a bit off it and his presence helped us get out.

Gave the ball away 8 times off of 20 touches and considering he usually needs at least 2 touches to get it under control that's pretty awful

I do agree he did well when he 1st came in but like a few others is dipping at the worst possible time

Sure you have the stats right but Dundee where pressing us and just thought him being upfield let us go a bit longer when clearing the ball and have a chance of it not coming straight back at us. Thought he helped us out in that regards a few times. Even the woeful backheel to nobody put the ball out of play for a bit and took some pressure off.

He has his uses. He does help get us up the pitch and in comparison to Kyogos performance he at least showed for the ball and offered an out ball, it's just what he done with it today that was my issue with him.

Regardless of the system etc he has to do more.

If the quality of service isn't there then he's ultimately pretty limited as a player. Not great on the ball and not physical enough to impose himself and cause bother that way in this league if things aren't going smoothly. We aren't always gonna have games where the balls will be falling his way and sadly he doesn't offer much outwith his movement and sharpness in behind to impact the game.

He's frustrating me at the moment. Idah had a nuke when he came on but at least he was involved...sadly a bit too involved at his own end :giggle1:.

Another area of the park that needs quality additions in the summer. Personally I'm now leaning on us needing a no1 striker who's more rounded. We at least need to continue to strive to improve or get more competition in. Not convinced Idah is the answer.
