Don’t know what was up with him but he looked as if he couldn’t run and was shirking out of challenges.

Needs to get his mushroom haircut back and take that weird gum shield out of his mouth. Looks like a turkey teeth bodged job.

    Didn't have a sniff today.

His header is the most un-Kyogo thing I’ve ever seen from him, he didn’t anticipate the ball getting to him at all

Thought idah was better yday than kyogo… think they struggled with his physicality a bit more. Would’ve liking idah on a bit earlier maybe even with kyogo

Was thinking of this last night. Idah would have been better starting. Kyogo was so ineffectual. All hindsight right enough.

Yeah exactly it is hindsight as going into the game I was certain kyogo would’ve caused them problems. Hopefully Idah sees more minutes from now until the next match against them because I do like him. I’ve seen the Huns struggle with physical strikers aswell this season, motherwell being an example

His pressing was great in the first half but struggled to get involved, Idah gave us an outball and created far more than the wee man.

He's been * most of this season. I'd start Idah on Saturday.

    Nope..

Had Butland terrified over and over..

Nearly caught him out a couple of times so much so that he stopped taking touches and was launching it with no purpose afterwards..

Aye he did press the game well first half. The full team did as a unit.

    They were rattled whole half.
Can't believe we backed off so much second

Aye, he's the no1 striker and will prove pivotal in the run in.

I didnt think Kyogo was bad in the first half.
He gave plenty running and linked up play on a few occasions. I think Idah was the right sub to make and it paid off.

I think Idah has shown enough to suggest he might be worth the punt. Id rather part with the cash for Idah than I would for Bernardo, whose fee would have to come down if it was to be good value i feel.

He nearly caught Butland out on his line, outwith that as an obvious one to point towards, they had a gameplan for Souttar and Goldson to go long ball cross field passes or to Dessers, and pretty much every one of them went awry especially that first half because Kyogo was right on top of them. 2nd half wasn’t so much, he went looking for the ball frustrated and wasn’t on top of them, which is always the big issue about Kyogo up top, when we start going long under pressure he’s not a guy we can do that for. He moves further down looking for the ball, weirdly when he’s getting more of the ball, it’s a sign we’re not at it. Because he drifts further back to pick it up, and then his workrate and press goes out the window because it’s not against the CB’s. We need to work the ball up the field and have him stick to the offside positions that he suddenly becomes onside and alive at the right moment, or on the shoulder. Fries my brain when we get that way we try and aim high balls to him and hope he can do something, when we should have him on the shoulder with the space they have left in behind and should be aiming for behind their defence, so he can run behind. Idah coming on was such a difference by the time he did and the way the game as by then.

it was something I was screaming for about 10 minutes before it did, something we seen majorly in the CL this year as well. When we could work the ball up the pitch from the midfield, his movement caused havoc and his 2 goals he got was O’Riley picking that out after a lot of work to hold the ball getting the team up and playing into the position for him to have the final ball.

I love the wee man, but sometimes when the game gets that way we need to make the call to change him immediately, he’s that good and dangerous we hesitate like * cos he could do it and pop up with a goal or bit of genius. And it’s understandable hating taking him off because of that and what he can do, but we need to more, when the balls just coming back at us we need somebody up there to do the physical battle. It was easier to make that call when GG was the guy coming on, because he was equally as trustworthy that he could pop up with a goal as well and not just be the physicality. Idah’s not quite that, Oh definitely isn’t.

But Idah’s shown enough, especially after his goal on Sunday, that he can be trusted to do that. Not the first time we’ve seen an impact from him off the bench

If he doesn’t do it on the weekend and Idah comes on and does it, it flips around again for me, when Kyogo comes off the bench then he then needs to make sure he’s doing something that he can’t not start the next week.

Kyogo is levels above Idah, but it’s up to him to make sure he’s showing that. First time he’s had to really fight for his spot at us, even when GG was here, it was clear he was the guy who’d be playing regardless Ange would stick by him. GG was the main man only when he was injured, and there was a spell start of last year that Giakoumakis must have been rightly aggrieved by it, coming on and showing more, scored in his start he got in the CL and immediately dropped again. And Ange was right in the long run with how it panned out, showing the faith in him got the best out of him rest of the season and he romped it. But it’s late in the season now, he’s not romping it outwith brief bursts, and if a guys coming on showing he’s dangerous making a difference, whether we all know or think he’s not the same level of player if his forms better and Kyogo’s form isn’t what expected, then just because we know what he can do but isn’t, doesn’t mean we persist and hope he does what he can. And since Idah’s been here and won a place, Kyogo won it back because he needs to show it to be the main man again. And Kyogo’s the kinda character that thrives on being that guy. He’s shown a lot this season celebrating infront of fans when it’s someone else thats the guy the teams putting forward and the fans are going mental for he’s frustrated. Think on the weekend we’ll see him making sure its him though, he’ll know that Idah coming on scoring, and only the defence * up for it to be a draw is the reason Idah’s not getting the praise and adulation and right in the team, after what looked a late winner

He’s been just so meh this season bar a couple of decent strikes v Rangers and a couple of goals in Europe. Not even half the player of the last couple of years and I don’t see him returning to it as he’s been like this for months.

Would be starting Idah in the run in. Far more of a threat and a lot more involved in the build up too.

Bullet header but obviously still struggling to get him involved in the goals as much this season. Not seeing any of those moves where the winger gets in behind the full-back and crosses for Kyogo to smash home.

Feel like it was our staple goal under Ange. Under Rodgers it's just totally disappeared.

Yet to score a brace or hattrick this season.

Averaging closer to 1 goal in 3 games this season. Under Ange he was well over 1 in 2.

Rodgers’ football just does not suit him at all.
